Girodisc A1-031 Porsche Front Rotors
$1,792.00
Girodisc Porsche 986/987/996/997.1 Front Rotors
The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc with the addition of the included caliper spacers and longer bolts. This upgrade increases the rotor diameter from 317mm to 340mm, improving braking force, cooling capacity, and pedal feel. It’s a true bolt-on upgrade that retains your factory calipers and ABS function while reducing unsprung and rotational mass for quicker suspension response and acceleration.
Lightweight, High-Performance 2-Piece Rotors
The central hat section is machined from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, while the rotor rings are Girodisc’s proprietary high-carbon cast iron. Each component is made in the USA and machined in-house for precision fitment and consistency. The rotors feature a curved vane design that acts as a centrifugal pump, drawing cooling air through the disc during use for superior heat management on both street and track.

GiroDisc 1382 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What’s the difference between the GP40 and GP10 compounds?
The GP40 is a high-bite sprint racing pad for aggressive braking and short sessions. The GP10 is a smoother, longer-wearing compound ideal for street and track day use.
Can I daily drive with GP40 or GP10 pads?
GP10 is the best compromise between street and track use. GP40 compound pads are engineered for track-only use. They may be noisy, dusty, and lack the cold bite necessary for street driving.
Do both compounds fit the same D1382 shape?
Yes. Both GP40 and GP10 are available in the D1382 pad shape, compatible with various performance calipers.
What type of racing is GP40 best for?
The GP40 compound excels in endurance formats such as 6-, 12-, or 24-hour races where consistency and wear resistance are key.
Do I need GiroDisc rotors to use these pads?
No, but pairing these pads with GiroDisc two-piece rotors is recommended for the best results.
GP10-1382.17 Brake Pads
GP10 compound is a high-performance street pad which is designed to have a smooth bite and make minimal noise at cold temperatures. Made for us by a friction technology specialist in Japan, it can be taken on track if you truly need a pad that does it all.
Please note that if your car spends more time on track than the street, we would recommend stepping up to a full race pad like our GP40.
GP40-1382.17 Brake Pads
GP40 compound falls between a sprint and an endurance compound. It maintains good bite and pedal feel while being friendly to your rotors. They are a favorite among our track day customers and shares a lineage with compounds found on cars competing in legendary races like the 24 Hours of Le Mans. These pads have been race-tested and hold up to the brutal conditions on the track.

GiroDisc 1389 Front Racing Brake Pads
A race pad for all occasions.
Our GP35 compound combines the best of both worlds into one all-around race pad. We took some of the longevity of our endurance pads, some of the bite of our sprint pads, and worked to develop a compound that can do it all. As a bonus, it’s easy to bed, which means less time figuring your brakes out, and more time driving on the track.
The GP35 is designed to work with street car ABS as well as motorsport-grade ABS found in factory-built race cars. The torque curve is designed to be smooth and linear, which leads to superior modulation and release under trail braking. These pads work with a wide range of tires, from DOT street tires to R-compounds to full race slicks.
It has become our most popular compound and is the compound we recommend most frequently to track day drivers and shops running cars in professional racing series.
Note: this compound is only compatible with iron rotors.

Girodisc Front Caliper Rebuild Kit Porsche 981 Boxster S-Cayman S
$81.00
PORSCHE 981 BOXSTER S/CAYMAN S FRONT CALIPER REBUILD KIT
Track days can be especially hard on the piston seals and dust boots in your brake calipers. Heat, in particular, will do a number on them. (Titanium heat shields behind your pads can help with that.) This kit is put together from the highest-quality components to rebuild a brake caliper back to like-new condition.
One kit is required per caliper (we suggest doing them both as long as you're doing it). Once you rebuild them, get the Ti heat shields as well and lengthen the interval between rebuilds. The shields and seals are available as a kit for convenience (and a bit of savings).
We only source superior quality brake components (brakes for track use are serious business); some kits don't take it as seriously. Any questions give us a call, we're happy to help!

Girodisc GP-Series Pad FAQs
Which compound should I choose? GP10 for street and light track, GP35 for mixed competition use, GP40 for aggressive track driving or sprint racing.
Are these pads compatible with carbon-ceramic rotors? No. All GP compounds are designed for iron rotors only.
Do these pads increase brake dust? GP10 produces low to moderate dust. GP35 and GP40 generate more dust due to their higher friction race formulations.
Do I need to bed these pads? Yes. Proper bedding ensures optimal performance, reduces uneven pad transfer, and maximizes rotor life.
