A2-278 Girodisc Ferrari Portofino/Roma Rear Iron Rotor Conversion
GiroDisc Racing Brakes & Technologies A2-278 Girodisc Ferrari Portofino/Roma Rear Iron Rotor Conversion $2,707.00
Girodisc Ferrari Portofino / Roma Rear Iron Rotor Conversion The Girodisc A2-278 Rear Iron Rotor Conversion is engineered to replace the factory rear rotors on Ferrari Portofino and Roma models, offering a robust, high-performance iron alternative built for track use and aggressive street driving. This system integrates seamlessly with the OEM brake setup while providing enhanced durability, cooling, and serviceability. Design & Engineering Each rotor merges a 6061-T6 aluminum hat with a proprietary high-carbon cast iron ring, produced and polished in-house. This 2-piece floating configuration allows thermal expansion without distortion. The rotor’s 48 curved vanes act as an internal centrifugal pump, pulling air inward from the hub to cool the disc efficiently under repeated demands. The floating mount system uses cadmium-plated steel drive pins in concert with Belleville washers and spring clips to maintain pad alignment, prevent rattle, and allow precise rotational movement. This ensures quiet operation during street use while retaining full racing capability. Vehicle Fitment Ferrari Portofino (non-CCM models) Ferrari Roma (excluding carbon ceramic brake variants) Technical Specifications Part Number: A2-278 Position: Rear Material: High-carbon cast iron rotor ring with aluminum hat Vane Count: 48 curved directional vanes Hardware: Cadmium-plated steel drive pins, Belleville washers, spring clips Rebuildable: Replace rotor rings while reusing hats and hardware Sold/Price: Per pair Advantages Improved thermal capacity over OEM cast rotors Reduced replacement cost compared to carbon ceramic systems Floating design maintains brake consistency and pad centering Quiet operation with no rattle in street use Precision-engineered and manufactured in the USA FAQs for Girodisc A2-278 Does this require modifications? No. It’s a direct fit replacement for non-CCM Portofino and Roma rears. Is this suitable for track use? Yes. The conversion is designed to handle elevated heat and repeated high-load braking cycles. Can I replace only the iron rings? Yes. Replacement rotor rings are available for long-term maintenance without replacing the aluminum hats. Upgrade your Ferrari Portofino or Roma with Girodisc’s rear iron rotor conversion—premium cooling, lower operating cost, and consistent brake performance.

This ring size is common on large six-piston BBK setups from Brembo, AP Racing, and StopTech used on Porsche 991, BMW F8X, and Audi RS applications when fitted with Girodisc hats. Can these be installed on non-Girodisc hats? No. The mounting pattern and float hardware are specific to Girodisc aluminum hats. Using other hats may cause clearance or balance issues. What torque should I apply to the floating hardware? Torque each bolt to 12 ft-lbs (16 Nm) with blue Loctite. Recheck after the first heat cycle to ensure hardware seating. How do I know when it’s time to replace the rings? Replace when rotor thickness reaches the minimum spec or if radial cracking extends beyond 70% of the face slot length — whichever occurs first. Girodisc D1-163 390x34mm front replacement rings deliver precision, durability, and race-proven performance for drivers demanding the highest level of stopping power and thermal control.

GiroDisc Racing Brakes & Technologies D2-111 Girodisc Replacement Rear Rotor Rings for Ferrari $1,254.00
D1-111 Girodisc Rear Replacement Rotor Rings REPLACEMENT ROTOR DISC ONLY, DOES NOT INCLUDE ALUMINUM HAT. Competition Motorsport is an authorized dealer for Girodisc products and we are one of the largest stocking dealers in the country. We ship most products same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline. The Girodisc replacement rotor system is a direct rotor disc replacement for the Girodisc 2-piece hat and rotor and no modifications are necessary. The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from heavy braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by grade12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. The 2-piece Girodisc design allows for rotor only replacement to minimize replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling. Sold/Priced per pair.

Castrol React SRF racing brake fluid 1000ml bottle
Castrol Castrol React SRF Synthetic Racing Brake Fluid (1000 ml) from $143.00
Castrol React SRF Racing Brake Fluid Ultra-High Wet Boiling Point Makes Castrol SRF A Standout Castrol React SRF Racing Brake Fluid is an ultra-high performance brake fluid popular with many of the highest performing auto racing teams around the world. The key to Castrol SRF brake fluid's performance is its silicon-ester technology. Not only is it less hygroscopic (i.e., it absorbs less water) than typical glycol-based brake fluids, Castrol SRF also reacts chemically with any absorbed water to further reduce its adverse effects on high-temperature braking performance. The result is an almost unheard of 518° F (270° C) wet boiling point, more than 100° F higher than most other racing brake fluids! Exceeds SAE 1703, ISO 4925, JIS K2233, FMVSS No. 116 DOT3 and DOT 4 specifications. Note: Castrol SRF is not a silicone-based brake fluid (i.e., DOT 5) and is compatible with most factory brake systems and fluids, including DOT 3 and DOT 4 fluids. Always follow vehicle manufacturer's recommendations when adding brake fluid. Castrol React SRF Racing Brake Fluid Typical Properties: Dry Boiling Point: 590°F (310°C) Wet Boiling Point: 518°F (270°C) Superior anti-vapor lock properties One-liter (1000ml) bottle
