A1-171 Girodisc 2pc Front Brake Rotors
$1,426.00
VW / Audi MQB 340mm Front Rotors (Girodisc A1-171)
The Girodisc 340mm Front Rotor set for VW and Audi MQB-platform cars delivers a precise, high-performance upgrade over factory rotors without the cost or complexity of a full big brake kit. Each rotor is a direct bolt-on replacement that retains full compatibility with factory calipers and brake bias, while reducing both rotational and unsprung mass for sharper handling and improved acceleration.
Precision-Engineered Two-Piece Design
Weighing approximately 20.3 lbs each compared to 23.8 lbs for the OEM rotors, this Girodisc system reduces weight exactly where it matters. The central hat is CNC-machined from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, paired with Girodisc’s proprietary cast iron rotor ring poured and machined entirely in the USA. The rotor’s curved vane internal design acts as a centrifugal pump, forcing cooling air through the rotor to maintain consistent braking under high temperatures.
Vehicle Fitment
This 340mm Girodisc rotor set fits a wide range of MQB-platform VW and Audi vehicles, including:
Volkswagen Golf R (MK7 / MK7.5)
Volkswagen GTI Performance Package / Clubsport

D1-171 Girodisc Replacement Front Rotor Rings
$975.00
D1-171 Girodisc Front Rotor Ring Replacement Kit
REPLACEMENT ROTOR RINGS ONLY. INCLUDES NEW INSTALLATION HARDWARE. DOES NOT INCLUDE ALUMINUM HATS.
Competition Motorsport is an authorized dealer for Girodisc products. As one of the largest stocking dealers in the country, we ship most Girodisc products the same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline.
These Girodisc replacement rotor rings are direct replacements for the iron discs on your Girodisc two-piece rotors, and no modifications are necessary. New cap screws and washers are included with these replacement rotors. We do not recommend re-using the old hardware.
The replacement rotor rings and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.
The two-piece Girodisc design allows for rotor ring-only replacement to minimize replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling.

CMS Performance
CMS Performance RF1 Racing Brake Fluid (500 ml)
from $36.00
CMS Performance RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid
Real Life 622º Boiling Point Without the Real High Price
RF1 Racing Brake Fluid from CMS Performance is a fully-synthetic DOT4 brake fluid formulated to provide extraordinary performance under the most demanding high-temperature racing and track-day conditions. With a dry boiling point of 622º F / 328º C, RF1 exceeds all DOT 3 & DOT 4 requirements and is compatible with all DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 fluids.
Note: RF1, like all DOT 4 brake fluids, is not compatible with DOT 5 silicone-based or any mineral-based brake fluids.
On the race track, there is perhaps no single safety system more important than your brakes. No single part of that system is more critical than brake fluid, given the extraordinarily high temperatures it operates under. At CMS Performance, we got tired of (and a little nervous) using "racing" brake fluid at the race track that didn't live up to its claimed performance when things got hot. We found more than a few brands whose product was all hype and not high performance.
No Hype. All Performance. No Kidding.
So we did something about it. CMS Performance RF1 is manufactured in partnership with Orthene, maker of the also-excellent Halo P1 racing brake fluid and a brake fluid supplier to many racing teams in Formula 1, WEC, and other professional series. RF1 was formulated to maintain consistent viscosity, lubricity, and compressibility at the extreme system temperatures and line pressures found in racing and track days.
The bottom line is this: you can spend a lot more on brake fluid, but it's hard to find higher-performance than RF1 Racing Brake Fluid.
CMS Performance RF1 Racing Brake Fluid Details:

A Word About Flushing Brake Fluid
All brake fluid degrades over time (not mileage), attracting water as it ages, which, at high brake temperatures, can lead to fluid boil and brake fade or failure. That's why the "wet" (aged) boiling point of any brake fluid is substantially lower than the "dry" (new) boiling point.
To maintain maximum braking performance, Competition Motorsport strongly suggests replacing your brake fluid before every track event, but at least every three months if you're consistently racing and/or driving at track days. It's cheap insurance against learning about brake fade the hard way!
