Each aluminum hat is precision CNC-machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum and hard anodized for strength and corrosion resistance. The proprietary cast-iron rings are poured and machined in-house at Girodisc’s U.S. facility, featuring curved directional vanes that act as a centrifugal pump to pull cooling air through the disc. The dimpled and slotted surface improves initial bite, helps clean pad surfaces, and prevents glazing under extreme use.
