Girodisc D1-096 Corvette C5, C6 Z51 Front Ring FAQs

Can these be installed with OEM Corvette hats? No. The D1-096 rings are designed specifically for Girodisc aluminum hats and will not fit factory one-piece or carbon-ceramic rotors.

Which pad compounds are best for these rotors? For street use, Ferodo DS2500 or Hawk HPS 5.0 provide quiet, consistent braking. For track days, use Pagid RS29 or Hawk DTC-60 for better thermal capacity and modulation.

Are these rotors directional? Yes. Each rotor is labeled for left or right installation, ensuring correct airflow through the curved internal vanes for optimal cooling.

What torque setting should I use for the hardware? Torque each bolt to 12 ft-lbs (16 Nm) using blue Loctite. Recheck torque after the first heat cycle or track session.

Upgrade your Corvette’s braking confidence with Girodisc D1-096 340mm front replacement rings — engineered for heat control, durability, and precise modulation on the street or circuit.
