Girodisc D1-168 Lamborghini Front Ring FAQs

Can these rotors be used with OEM carbon-ceramic systems? No. The D1-168 rings are designed for Girodisc steel rotor conversions and will not fit OEM carbon-ceramic hardware.

What pad compounds are recommended for track use? Pagid RS29, Ferodo DS3.12, or Endless ME20 are ideal for maintaining consistent friction under race conditions.

Do these require any special bedding-in procedure? Yes. Use Girodisc’s recommended procedure — 8–10 moderate stops from 60 mph to evenly transfer pad material, followed by full cooldown before track use.

What’s the expected service life for endurance racing? Under typical Super Trofeo race conditions, these rings can deliver 20–30 hours of track use before inspection or replacement, depending on pad aggressiveness and cooling setup.

Refresh your Gallardo Super Trofeo’s braking confidence with Girodisc D1-168 380mm front replacement rings — engineered for durability, balance, and fade-free performance in the world’s most demanding racing environments.
