Girodisc D1-122 Porsche Front Replacement Ring FAQs

Can these be used with OEM Porsche rotor hats? No. These rings are engineered specifically for Girodisc aluminum hats and will not fit OEM one-piece or PCCB systems.

Which brake pad compounds are recommended? For street and occasional track driving, Pagid RS29 or Ferodo DS2500 pads are excellent choices. For full track use, use higher-friction compounds such as Pagid RSL1.

What torque specification is required for the hardware? Torque each bolt to 12 ft-lbs (16 Nm) with blue Loctite, then recheck after one full heat cycle for proper seating.

Are these rotors directional? Yes. Each rotor is marked for left or right installation to ensure proper airflow through the curved internal vanes, maximizing cooling efficiency.

Upgrade your Porsche 991.1 Carrera’s braking performance with Girodisc D1-122 340mm front replacement rings — designed for heat control, balance, and endurance from road to track.
