The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OEM front rotors on the Porsche 991 GT3, GT3RS, and GT2RS with OEM iron rotors. No modifications are necessary, including full use of factory unmodified pads unlike most aftermarket solutions for this application. The GIrodisc rotors will bolt directly to your car and work with OEM calipers perfectly.
By upgrading your brakes with lightweight, high performance replacements -- as opposed to a big brake kit -- your factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are preserved.
The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron constructed in the USA, made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors' curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes ten high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by Grade-12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.

This 410mm Girodisc conversion system is a direct front rotor replacement for the Porsche 991.1 or 991.2 GT3, GT3RS, GT2RS, and GT4RS originally equipped with PCCB brakes. These two-piece floating iron rotors with aluminum hats will bolt directly to your Porsche and work flawlessly with the OEM front calipers.
You must use must use the pad shape used on the 991 GT3 with iron rotors. The annulus (pad swept height) of these rotors is smaller than the PCCBs to keep rotor weight low and allow far better pad selection.
By upgrading your brakes with lightweight, high-performance Girodisc rotors, especially when paired with Girodisc A2-154 rear rotors, your Porsche's factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are maintained.
The low rotational mass and unsprung weight of Girodisc rotors allows for quick acceleration and fast transient suspension response. Most racers replace the factory PCCBs with Girodisc rotors to avoid the inevitable damage to fragile carbon-ceramic discs when swapping wheels at the track.
We suggest using these rotors with these Pagid 4924 or PFC brake pad profiles normally used in the Porsche 991 GT3 without PCCB. RF1 Racing Brake Fluid from CMS Performance is a fully-synthetic DOT4 brake fluid formulated to provide extraordinary performance under the most demanding high-temperature racing and track-day conditions. With a dry boiling point of 328º C (622º F), RF1 exceeds all DOT3 & DOT4 requirements and is compatible with all DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 fluids. (Not compatible with DOT5 or mineral-based brake fluids.)
On the race track, brake systems operate at very high sustained temperatures, and there is perhaps no single safety system more important in racing than your brakes. No single part of that system is more critical than brake fluid. At CMS Performance, we got tired of (and a little nervous) using "racing" brake fluid at the race track that didn't live up to its claimed performance when things got hot.
So we did something about it. Manufactured in partnership with Orthene, the brake fluid supplier to many teams in Formula 1, WEC, and other professional series, RF1 Racing Brake Fluid was formulated to maintain consistent viscosity, lubricity, and compressibility at the extreme system temperatures and line pressures found in racing and track days.
The bottom line is this: you can spend more on brake fluid, but you can't buy higher-performance than RF1 Racing Brake Fluid.

A Word About Flushing Brake Fluid
All brake fluid degrades over time (not mileage), attracting water as it ages, which, at high brake temperatures, can lead to fluid boil and brake fade or failure. That's why the "wet" (aged) boiling point of any brake fluid is substantially lower than the "dry" (new) boiling point.
To maintain maximum braking performance, Competition Motorsport strongly suggests replacing your brake fluid before every track event, but at least every three months if you're consistently racing and/or driving at track days. It's cheap insurance against learning about brake fade the hard way!

Pagid RSL 1:
Pagid RSL 1 has a high ceramic content with superior thermal insulation and higher heat resistance than metallic pad compounds. They feature excellent pad wear under endurance conditions, excellent rotor life, and are less aggressive than RST pads with excellent brake balance and modulation.
Pagid RST 1:
Pagid RST 1 is a high-friction, aggressive pad with instant pedal response, quick release, a firm pedal at all temperatures, and a progressive torque curve. Suitable for applications with high down-force and/or very high grip.
RST 1 has a very high friction level and high temperature resistance. It is a semi-metallic resin bonded material containing steel fibers. Cold friction and initial bite makes this material most appropriate for Rally and NASCAR applications.

Pagid RST 3 is a medium-high friction metal-ceramic compound containing steel fibers and is therefore the perfect complement of the RST product family.

Out of all the pad compounds we've ever tested, from all manufacturers, the Ferodo DS3.12 shows the flattest torque curve across the broadest temperature range. That means on every turn, on every track you drive, on every lap, your brake pedal is going to feel almost exactly the same, providing tremendous consistency and repeatability. The DS3.12 has a higher mu (µ) than Ferodo's other compounds, so not as much pedal pressure is required to initiate the desired response. The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader is designed to easily spread brake pads and pistons to facilitate quick replacement of pads and/or rotors in a shop or racing environment.
No more screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, or C-clamps! This tool will retract the pistons fully and evenly into their bores with one squeeze of the levers.
The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader was designed to be used with popular racing brake calipers from Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, and other performance calipers in racing and road use. To help it fit into any caliper, the amount of throw is adjustable.
Insert the spreading plates one way for wider six-piston calipers, then turn the spreader 90o and use the plate sides for four-piston calipers.
The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader is made from heavy-gauge steel, powder-coated for durability. The slider is cadmium-plated, and nylon pivot bushings ensure smooth action.
