Good news for all fans of Recaro Racing Seats: following a successful restructuring, they have started production of the RECARO Pole Position (ABE) and the RECARO Podium CF at their manufacturing site in Italy! At Competition Motorsport we were stocked-up on world-renowned Recaro sport and race seats when their production was halted, but very strong demand for Recaro products has seen even our inventory begin to dwindle.
Recaro seats are now manufactured in Italy instead of Germany, with a team of sales and technology specialists remaining in Stuttgart to preserve Recaro’s expertise during the transition.
Having secured financing from leading Italian parts supplier Proma Group in 2024, Recaro has spent 2025 rapidly ramping up its manufacturing operations and is re-supplying its iconic seats to Competition Motorsport. Recaro racing seats like the Pole Position and Podium CF are inbound, to add to our current selection of Recaro Sportster, Profi, and other popular Recaro seats in stock for immediate shipment.
Recaro AG (REutter CAROsserie) was founded in Switzerland in 1957 after the Reutter brothers sold their coach-building factory to Porsche. The company worked on such iconic vehicles as the Volkswagen Beetle prototype as well as the Porsche 356 body.
