Girodisc A1-186 Two-Piece Floating Front Racing Brake Rotors
Girodisc Rotors to Replace the Front Rotors on the Following Cars:
BMW F80 M3 with blue calipers, Front
BMW F82 M4 with blue calipers, Front
BMW F87 M2 with blue calipers, Front
Upgrade Your BMW F8x To The Best Racing Rotors Available
If you have a BMW M2, M3, or M4 with blue calipers and iron rotors, this Girodisc floating iron rotor system is a direct replacement for your BMW ;front rotors. No modifications to your car are necessary. The 380mm diameter rotors will bolt directly to your BMW and work with the original blue calipers perfectly. By upgrading your BMW brakes with lightweight high-performance replacements, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency.
Girodisc two-piece floating rotors are lighter than OEM brake rotors. This reduction in rotational mass and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration, sharper steering, and faster suspension response.
When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads and CMS RF-1 brake fluid (available from Competition Motorsport), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors.
The central hat section of each Girodisc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron constructed in the USA, made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors' curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes ten high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by Grade-12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.
The two-piece Girodisc design allows for disc-only replacement as well, minimizing future replacement costs and delivering outstanding performance.

The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc, but a different brake pad with an annulus (pad swept area) of 66mm or less must be used. We strongly recommend the Pagid 8081. This reduction in rotor annulus is done to keep the weight of the rotors low. The OEM rotors utilize a pillar vane design which is horribly inefficient in terms of dissipating heat. Since the OEM rotors heat-soak very easily, Chevrolet chose an easy solution to this problem: increasing the rotors' mass to combat that heat. We weighed an OEM rotor at 32.5 lbs. -- holy smoke!
Girodisc took the functional route instead, engineering a shorter-annulus rotor ring for a total rotor-and-hat weight of 28.0 lbs. This design utilizes 72 directional cooling vanes for an incredibly efficient and robust package.
The necessary pad shape is very common, found on other Camaro and Corvette applications equipped with six-piston calipers. If there's a specific pad compound you're after please contact us at (844) 438-7244 and we'll get you what you need!

A1-266 Girodisc 2pc Front Brake Rotors for Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport
$1,750.00
A1-266 Girodisc Two-Piece 380mm Front Brake Rotors
FITMENT: Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, Front
This Girodisc system is a 380mm two-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination, a direct-replacement upgrade for the one-piece OEM Cayman GT4 Clubsport steel brakes. The Girodisc A1-266 will bolt directly to your Porsche GT4 Clubsport and will work perfectly with your OEM calipers.
There are two main reasons for replacing your OEM rotors: first, the Girodisc rotors are designed to shed heat more effectively than the original rotors; second, the slotted Girodisc A1-266 will far outlast the OEM drilled rotors. When subjected to intense heat in a racing or track-day environment, the drilled holes in the OEM rotors form cracks which can lead to rotor failure. When paired with the Girodisc A2-266 rear rotors, your factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are maintained.
When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads and CMS RF-1 brake fluid (available from Competition Motorsport), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors.

By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight, high-performance replacements (as opposed to a big brake kit), your factory brake bias is maintained, along with your ABS efficiency.
The pins are secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.
The two-piece Girodisc design allows for disc-only replacement as well, minimizing future replacement costs and delivering outstanding performance.
