GiroDisc Racing Brakes & Technologies A1-023 Girodisc 2pc Brake Rotors | McLaren MP4-12C (Front) $1,500.00
McLaren 380mm Front Rotors, incl. spacers Unlock consistent, repeatable stopping power with Girodisc two-piece floating front rotors for McLaren models originally equipped with 370mm cast-iron front discs. This upgrade increases diameter to 380mm and includes the required caliper spacers for a true bolt-on installation. You keep factory brake bias and ABS while gaining cooling capacity, lighter rotating mass, and sharper pedal feel. Race-Bred, Street-Refined Each rotor pairs a U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aluminum hat with Girodisc’s proprietary high-carbon cast-iron ring. Curved internal vanes act like a centrifugal pump to move cooling air through the disc under hard use. The fully floating mount system controls thermal growth, helping the rotor self-center between pads and maintain quiet street manners via anti-noise spring/Belleville washers. Features Diameter upgrade: 370mm → 380mm for more torque leverage and thermal headroom Direct fit: Includes caliper spacers; uses factory calipers and pad shape Two-piece floating design: Reduces unsprung/rotational mass and improves consistency Curved directional vanes: Efficient internal airflow for superior heat management Serviceable: Replace rings later and reuse the hats to lower long-term cost Premium hardware: 12 cadmium-plated alloy steel drive pins with class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers Made in the USA: Hats and rings machined in-house for precise fit Vehicle Fitment For McLaren applications originally equipped with 370mm cast-iron front rotors (non-CCM). Examples include: McLaren MP4-12C (iron brake package) McLaren 650S (iron brake package) Other McLaren models using 370mm iron front rotors Note: Not for factory carbon-ceramic (CCM) brake packages. If you’re unsure, send your VIN and a brake photo—we’ll verify fitment before you order. What’s Included (2) Pre-assembled 380mm two-piece floating front rotors (left/right) (2) Caliper spacers sized for 380mm conversion Mounting/torque guidance and bedding procedure Girodisc A1-023 Technical Specifications Part Number: A1-023 Position: Front Rotor Diameter: 380mm (upgrade from 370mm) Construction: Two-piece, fully floating Hat Material: 6061-T6 aluminum (anodized) Ring Material: High-carbon cast iron Vanes: Curved, directional Hardware: 12 drive pins, class 12.9 fasteners, spring/Belleville washers Sold/Price: Per pair Installation & Bedding Clean hub faces thoroughly; remove rust and debris. Install rotors and supplied caliper spacers; torque fasteners to spec. Bed pads: several medium stops 60→10 mph, then a few hard stops 80→20 mph. Drive to cool with minimal braking. Girodisc A1-023 FAQs Do I need different pads? No—these retain the factory caliper and pad shape. Choose a compound appropriate for street or track. Will they rattle? The floating hardware uses anti-noise spring/Belleville washers to maintain quiet operation while allowing thermal float. Are replacement rings available? Yes. When the rings reach minimum thickness or crack to an edge, replace the rings and reuse the hats/hardware. Street and track use? Absolutely. Pair with quality pads and high-temp fluid for track days; they’re refined enough for daily use. Step up to Girodisc 380mm rotors for cooler temps, stronger bite, and repeatable braking—without changing your calipers.

CMS Performance RF1 Racing Brake Fluid (500 ml)
CMS Performance CMS Performance RF1 Racing Brake Fluid (500 ml) from $24.95
CMS Performance RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid Real Life 622º Boiling Point Without the Real High Price RF1 Racing Brake Fluid from CMS Performance is a fully-synthetic DOT4 brake fluid formulated to provide extraordinary performance under the most demanding high-temperature racing and track-day conditions. With a dry boiling point of 622º F / 328º C, RF1 exceeds all DOT 3 & DOT 4 requirements and is compatible with all DOT 3, DOT 4, and DOT 5.1 fluids. Note: RF1, like all DOT 4 brake fluids, is not compatible with DOT 5 silicone-based or any mineral-based brake fluids. On the race track, there is perhaps no single safety system more important than your brakes. No single part of that system is more critical than brake fluid, given the extraordinarily high temperatures it operates under. At CMS Performance, we got tired of (and a little nervous) using "racing" brake fluid at the race track that didn't live up to its claimed performance when things got hot. We found more than a few brands whose product was all hype and not high performance. No Hype. All Performance. No Kidding. So we did something about it. CMS Performance RF1 is manufactured in partnership with Orthene, maker of the also-excellent Halo P1 racing brake fluid and a brake fluid supplier to many racing teams in Formula 1, WEC, and other professional series. RF1 was formulated to maintain consistent viscosity, lubricity, and compressibility at the extreme system temperatures and line pressures found in racing and track days. The bottom line is this: you can spend a lot more on brake fluid, but it's hard to find higher-performance than RF1 Racing Brake Fluid. CMS Performance RF1 Racing Brake Fluid Details: Manufacturer: CMS Performance Manufacturer part no.: CMSRF1 Typical dry boiling point: 622º F / 328º C Typical wet boiling point: 399º F / 204º C Exceeds DOT 3 & DOT 4 standards Bottle size: 500 ml (16.9 fl. oz.) Click Here for Product MSDS Sheet A Word About Flushing Brake Fluid All brake fluid degrades over time (not mileage), attracting water as it ages, which, at high brake temperatures, can lead to fluid boil and brake fade or failure. That's why the "wet" (aged) boiling point of any brake fluid is substantially lower than the "dry" (new) boiling point. To maintain maximum braking performance, Competition Motorsport strongly suggests replacing your brake fluid before every track event, but at least every three months if you're consistently racing and/or driving at track days. It's cheap insurance against learning about brake fade the hard way!
