A1-032 Girodisc 2pc Front Brake Rotors (350mm) - Competition Motorsport
Girodisc A1-032 Girodisc 2pc Front Brake Rotors (350mm) $1,300.00
A1-032 Girodisc 2pc Front Brake Rotors (350mm) Competition Motorsport is an authorized dealer for Girodisc products. As one of the largest stocking dealers in the country, we ship most products the same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline. This Girodisc system upgrades the OEM brakes to a two-piece steel disc and aluminum hat. This two-piece "floating rotor" design will bolt directly to your car and work flawlessly with the OEM calipers. Upgrading your brakes to lightweight, high-performance Girodisc rotors, you maintain the factory brake bias and ABS effectiveness. Much lighter than the OEM rotors, Girodisc rotors reduce rotational and unsprung mass giving you stronger braking and faster suspension response. Combined with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads and Competition Motorsport RF-1 racing brake fluid, Girodisc rotors are the ultimate solution to overheated, cracked, warped rotors that result from high-performance driving. The central hat of the rotor is made from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum. The disc is manufactured in the USA from the same cast iron used by professional racing organizations. Its curved-vane design, developed in racing, acts like a centrifugal pump forcing cool air through the disc. The disc and hat mount together through a floating mount system using ten cadmium plated, high-strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc. These drive pins transfer braking load while maintaining axial and radial float between the disc and hat to allow for heat expansion. Anti-noise spring washers eliminate the noise typically associated with floating rotors. This two-piece Girodisc design allows for disc-only replacement, reusing the hat to minimize maintenance costs. Sold/priced per pair.
A2-032 Girodisc 2pc REAR Brake Rotors (350mm) - Competition Motorsport
Girodisc A2-032 Girodisc 2pc REAR Brake Rotors (350mm) $1,300.00
The Girodisc system is an upgrade to a 350mm two-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination, a direct replacement for the OEM brake disc. The two-piece floating disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight high-performance replacements -- as opposed to a big brake kit -- your factory brake bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency. Girodisc rotors are lighter than the OEM rotors, reducing rotational and unsprung weight for quicker acceleration and suspension response. When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads and Competition Motorsport RF1 racing brake fluid (also available from Competition Motorsport), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors. The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured in the USA from cast iron, made to the same specification and with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotor's curved-vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc. The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by Grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise typically associated with floating rotors. The two-piece Girodisc design allows for rotor-ring only replacement to minimize future replacement costs. Priced per pair

CMS Performance RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid (500 ml) - Competition Motorsport
Competition Motorsport CMS Performance RF1 DOT4 622ºF Racing Brake Fluid from $21.95
CMS Performance RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid Real-Life High Boiling Point Without The Real High Price RF1 Racing Brake Fluid from CMS Performance is a fully-synthetic DOT4 brake fluid formulated to provide extraordinary performance under the most demanding high-temperature racing and track-day conditions. With a dry boiling point of 328º C (622º F), RF1 exceeds all DOT3 & DOT4 requirements and is compatible with all DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 fluids. (Not compatible with DOT5 or mineral-based brake fluids.) On the race track, brake systems operate at very high sustained temperatures, and there is perhaps no single safety system more important in racing than your brakes. No single part of that system is more critical than brake fluid. At CMS Performance, we got tired of (and a little nervous) using "racing" brake fluid at the race track that didn't live up to its claimed performance when things got hot. So we did something about it. Manufactured in partnership with Orthene, the brake fluid supplier to many teams in Formula 1, WEC, and other professional series, RF1 Racing Brake Fluid was formulated to maintain consistent viscosity, lubricity, and compressibility at the extreme system temperatures and line pressures found in racing and track days. The bottom line is this: you can spend more on brake fluid, but you can't buy higher-performance than RF1 Racing Brake Fluid. RF1 Racing Brake Fluid Details: Typical dry boiling point: 328º C (622º F) Typical wet boiling point: 204º C (399º F) Exceeds DOT3 & DOT4 standards Bottle size: 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) Click Here for Product MSDS Sheet A Word About Flushing Brake Fluid All brake fluid degrades over time (not mileage), attracting water as it ages, which, at high brake temperatures, can lead to fluid boil and brake fade or failure. That's why the "wet" (aged) boiling point of any brake fluid is substantially lower than the "dry" (new) boiling point. To maintain maximum braking performance, Competition Motorsport strongly suggests replacing your brake fluid before every track event, but at least every three months if you're consistently racing and/or driving at track days. It's cheap insurance against learning about brake fade the hard way!
