The A1-156 will bolt directly to your Porsche and work perfectly with your OEM calipers. There are two main reasons for replacing your PCCB: first, the Girodisc rotors are designed to shed heat more effectively than the original rotors; second, the machined cast iron rotor rings are far more durable than the fragile OEM carbon-ceramic rotors. This is critical when you're swapping wheels on and off the car for track days or racing, because it's so easy to nick a carbon rotor and take a chunk out of it. When paired with the Girodisc A2-156 rear rotors, your factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are maintained.  When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Competition Motorsport RF1 brake fluid, you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors. The central hat section is made from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum. The rotor is manufactured in the US from cast iron using the same specs and materials as professional racing organizations. The racing-developed vane design acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.   Rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system using high-strength alloy steel drive pins and Grade 12 cap screws. These transfer braking load while maintaining axial and radial float between the rotor and hat for superior heat management. The pins are secured by Grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating rattle and noise. The two-piece Girodisc design allows for rotor only replacement as well to minimize future replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling. Sold/Priced per pair.

The best highest performance racing brake fluid on the market today is CMS Performance RF1 with a dry boiling point of 622ºF!
Competition Motorsport CMS Performance RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid (500 ml) from $24.95
CMS Performance RF1 DOT4 622oF Racing Brake Fluid Buy in bulk and save. Get six bottles and save 15%, or a case of 12 and save a whopping 25%! The Highest Dry Boiling Point Racing Brake Fluid You Can Buy CMS Performance RF1 fully synthetic Racing Brake Fluid is formulated to provide the highest performance under racing and track-day conditions, where braking systems operate at very high sustained temperatures. RF1 exceeds all DOT 3 & 4 requirements and is compatible with all DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 fluids. (Not compatible with DOT5 or mineral-based brake fluids.) There is perhaps no single safety system more important in racing than brakes. And no part of that system is more critical than brake fluid. At Competition Motorsport, we got tired of (and a little nervous) using "racing" brake fluid on the track that didn't live up to its claimed performance. So we did something about it. Manufactured in partnership with Orthene Chemicals, a British brake fluid supplier to professional race teams in Formula 1, WEC, and many other pro series, CMS Performance RF1 Racing Brake Fluid is formulated to maintain consistent viscosity, lubricity, and compressibility at extreme temperatures and line pressures found in racing, track days, and spirited driving. Bottom line: you can spend more money, but you can't buy higher-performing racing brake fluid! CMS Performance RF1 Racing Brake Fluid Specifications: Typical dry boiling point: 622° F (328° C) Typical wet boiling point: 399° F (204° C) Exceeds DOT3 & DOT4 standards Individual 500 ml (16.7 oz.) bottles Click Here For The RF1 Product MSDS Sheet A Note About Brake Fluid Boiling Points DOT 4 brake fluid like RF1 is hygroscopic, meaning it attracts water over time sitting in your brake lines and reservoir. At high brake temperatures, this water can boil in your car's brake lines, causing the fluid in the lines to become compressible. That's what you feel when you experience brake fade. This is why the "wet" (aged fluid) boiling point of any brake fluid is substantially lower than the "dry" (brand new fluid) boiling point. Since time is the enemy of brake fluid performance, the best practice is to replace your racing brake fluid before each track event/weekend. At a minimum, flush it with new fluid at least every three months if you're consistently racing and/or driving at track days. A couple bottles of fluid will flush most sports cars or race cars. It ends up being pretty cheap insurance against learning about brake fade the hard way.

Girodisc Titanium Brake Pad Shields for Porsche 991, 992, GT4 Front
Girodisc Girodisc Titanium Brake Pad Shields for Porsche 991, 992, GT4 Front $110.00
Girodisc Titanium Brake Pad Shields FITS: Porsche 991, 992, GT4 Front The problem of brake fluid boiling is due to heat transferring from the rotors and pads directly into the fluid through the caliper pistons. When brake fluid boils, it releases air that is normally part of the molecular structure of the fluid. This air is compressible, of course, and the brake pedal goes to the floor instead of moving the caliper pistons. Production cars tend to suffer from this on track days because they don't have the extensive cooling ducts and exotic brake materials found on race cars. Race-only brake calipers generally come with titanium caliper pistons for one reason: titanium has low thermal conductivity. This means it's very bad at transferring heat, which is good if you're trying to keep your brake fluid from boiling. Here's a comparison of materials and their relative thermal conductivity ratings (lower is better):   Titanium 6AL-4V = 6.7 W/mk Steel = 52 W/mk Aluminum = 130 W/mk   Most fixed calipers use aluminum pistons which are, unfortunately, excellent at transferring braking heat to your brake fluid. Our solution is to place Girodisc's thin titanium shims between the brake pad and the caliper pistons. This helps prevent braking heat from transferring into the pistons and, thus, into the fluid.  For cars that are going to see hard or multiple track days, these shims are affordable protection from losing your brake pedal at the wrong time and making your track day very expensive. Water jet cut to exact size; no cutting, grinding, or swearing involved. Price is per axle (four shims)
