A2-146 Girodisc 2pc Rear Brake Rotors for Porsche 991 GT3, GT3RS, GT2RS - Competition Motorsport
Girodisc A2-146 Girodisc 2pc Rear Brake Rotors $1,900.00
A2-146 Girodisc Two-Piece Rear Brake Rotors FITMENT: Porsche 991 GT3 / GT3RS / GT2RS, Rear w/ Cast Iron Brakes This Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OEM Porsche cast iron rotors on the 991 GT3, GT3RS, and GT2RS. No modifications are necessary, allows use of factory unmodified pads (unlike most aftermarket solutions for this application). The Girodisc rotors will bolt directly to the car and work with OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with lightweight high performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory-tuned brake bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency. Girodisc two-piece floating rotors are lighter than OEM brake rotors. This reduction in rotational mass and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration, sharper steering, and faster suspension response. When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads and CMS RF-1 brake fluid (available from Competition Motorsport), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors. The central hat section of each Girodisc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron constructed in the USA, made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors' curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc. The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes ten high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. The two-piece Girodisc design allows for disc-only replacement as well, minimizing future replacement costs and delivering outstanding performance. Sold/priced per pair.

A1-154 Girodisc Two-Piece 410mm Front Brake Rotors FITMENT: Porsche GT3 (991) w/ factory PCCB Porsche GT3RS (991) w/ factory PCCB Porsche GT2RS (991) w/ factory PCCB Porsche GT4RS (718) w/ factory PCCB This 410mm Girodisc conversion system is a direct front rotor replacement for the Porsche 991.1 or 991.2 GT3, GT3RS, GT2RS, and GT4RS originally equipped with PCCB brakes. These two-piece floating iron rotors with aluminum hats will bolt directly to your Porsche and work flawlessly with the OEM front calipers. You must use must use the pad shape used on the 991 GT3 with iron rotors. The annulus (pad swept height) of these rotors is smaller than the PCCBs to keep rotor weight low and allow far better pad selection. By upgrading your brakes with lightweight, high-performance Girodisc rotors, especially when paired with Girodisc A2-154 rear rotors, your Porsche's factory brake bias and ABS efficiency are maintained. The low rotational mass and unsprung weight of Girodisc rotors allows for quick acceleration and fast transient suspension response. Most racers replace the factory PCCBs with Girodisc rotors to avoid the inevitable damage to fragile carbon-ceramic discs when swapping wheels at the track. We suggest using these rotors with these Pagid 4924 or PFC brake pad profiles normally used in the Porsche 991 GT3 without PCCB. When combined with Competition Motorsport RF1 Racing brake fluid or the New HALO P1 High Performance Brake Fluid, you'll have an extremely reliable and durable solution to cracked or broken carbon-ceramic rotors at a fraction of the cost of factory PCCBs. The central hat section of the Girodisc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. Ferodo FCP4664G DS3.12 Brake Pads Designed for use with iron brake rotors only. Not for use with carbon-ceramic rotors. FITMENTS (FRONT): Porsche GT2 Porsche GT3/GT3RS Porsche GT4 Compound: DS3.12 Released in 2019, the DS3.12 is the latest evolution in Ferodo's incredible DS line. Sports cars today have more of everything: more horsepower, more sophisticated aero, higher curb weights, and stickier tires. These attributes place serious demands on a vehicle's brake system. The Ferodo DS3.12 is the modern pad compound designed from the start to explicitly handle those demands. Out of all the pad compounds we've ever tested, from all manufacturers, the Ferodo DS3.12 shows the flattest torque curve across the broadest temperature range. That means on every turn, on every track you drive, on every lap, your brake pedal is going to feel almost exactly the same, providing tremendous consistency and repeatability. The DS3.12 has a higher mu (µ) than Ferodo's other compounds, so not as much pedal pressure is required to initiate the desired response. It is also un-fadable, showing no drop in performance at any temperature your brakes will ever see. In dyno testing, the Ferodo DS3.12 has shown superior wear rates to the other Ferodo compounds, while remaining kind to brake rotors. We believe the Ferodo DS3.12 will become the gold standard by which other race compounds will be judged.
