Girodisc A1-111 Girodisc 2pc Front Brake Rotors for Ferrari 458/488/F8/Pista $1,995.00
A1-111 Girodisc Two-Piece 398mm Front Brake Rotors Fitment (FRONT): Ferrari 458 Italia Ferrari 488 Ferrari 488 Pista Ferrari F8 Competition Motorsport is an authorized dealer for Girodisc products and we are one of the largest stocking dealers in the country. We ship most products same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline. The Girodisc system is an upgrade to a two-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination and is a direct replacement1 for the OEM brake rotors. These two-piece floating rotors will bolt directly to the car and work with your OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight, high-performance replacements (as opposed to a big brake kit), your factory brake bias is maintained, along with your ABS efficiency. Girodisc two-piece floating rotors are lighter than traditional cast iron brake rotors. This reduction in rotational mass and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration, sharper steering, and faster suspension response. When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Competition Motorsport RF-1 racing brake fluid, you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors. The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron constructed in the USA, made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors' curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc. The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes ten high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by Grade-12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. The two-piece Girodisc design allows for disc-only replacement as well, minimizing future replacement costs and delivering outstanding performance. Sold/priced per pair. 1 Note: These Girodisc rotors have a different annulus (pad swept area) than the OEM CCM rotors, to maintain their light weight. A brake pad with an annulus of 66mm or less must be used with these Girodisc rotors. The necessary pad shape is very common, found on the Nissan GT-R, Cadillac CTS-V, and most AMG Mercedes equipped with six-piston calipers. If there's a specific pad and/or compound you're after please, contact us at (844) 438-7244 and we'll get you what you need!
A2-161 Girodisc 2pc Rear Brake Rotors (Ferrari 488-F8-Pista) - Competition Motorsport
Girodisc A2-161 Girodisc 2pc Rear Brake Rotors for Ferrari 488/F8/Pista $1,900.00
Girodisc A2-161 Rear Two-Piece Rotors Fitments (REAR): Ferrari 488 Ferrari 488 Pista Ferrari F8 Competition Motorsport is an authorized dealer for Girodisc products and we are one of the largest stocking dealers in the country. We ship most Girodisc systems the same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline. The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc. No modifications are necessary. The disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OE calipers perfectly. The central hat section of our rotor is made from strictly U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from our own proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined from start to finish in house at Girodisc. The rotor utilizes a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc. The rotor and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes ten high strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to our own specifications and cadmium plated for a long lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the load from braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. The pins are secured by Class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side which allow the rotor to grow with heat expansion but eliminate the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the pads. Once the Girodisc system is in place, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed. Sold/priced in pairs
