GiroDisc Racing Brakes & Technologies A1-111 Girodisc 2pc Front Brake Rotors | Ferrari 458/488/F8/Pista $1,995.00
Ferrari 398mm Front Rotors Girodisc 398mm front rotors bring race-level braking performance to your Ferrari, replacing the stock carbon-ceramic setup with a durable, serviceable iron system. Designed as a direct-fit solution, these rotors require no modifications and work seamlessly with the factory calipers once fitted with brake pads that feature a 66mm swept area or less. The result is a lighter, cooler-running system that delivers exceptional pedal feel and fade resistance on both street and track. Each Girodisc rotor is crafted in the USA using a combination of 6061-T6 aluminum hats and proprietary high-carbon cast-iron rings. The internal curved vane design actively pumps air through the rotor to dissipate heat under extreme braking, ensuring consistent performance lap after lap. Track-Tested Iron Replacement for Carbon-Ceramic Rotors Vehicle Fitment Ferrari 458 Italia / 458 Speciale Ferrari 488 GTB / Pista Ferrari F8 Tributo Ferrari California T (with 398mm front rotor option) Features Direct OEM replacement: Fits stock calipers; designed for use with pads featuring ≤66mm annulus. Optimized performance: Offers consistent, confident braking in place of heavier CCM rotors. Curved vane ventilation: Centrifugal air channels actively cool rotors under hard braking. Floating 2-piece design: Uses cadmium-plated hardware to allow thermal float and prevent distortion. Serviceable construction: Replace only the iron rings for cost-effective long-term maintenance. Made in the USA: Fully designed, cast, and machined in-house by Girodisc. Girodisc A1-111 FAQs Do these rotors fit OEM Ferrari calipers? Yes. They’re a direct-fit replacement for factory carbon-ceramic discs when using pads with ≤66mm annulus. Can I use standard pads? You’ll need pads with a smaller swept area—common on many 6-piston Brembo-style calipers. Girodisc can recommend compatible compounds. Are they lighter than the factory setup? Yes. Despite being iron, the design maintains a manageable weight while offering more consistent thermal performance. Will they make noise like other floating rotors? No. Girodisc’s anti-noise spring washers allow float without rattling. How are they sold? Sold and priced per pair. Upgrade your Ferrari’s braking performance and reliability with Girodisc 398mm front rotors—engineered to perform, cool, and endure where carbon-ceramics fall short.

A1-111 Girodisc Two-Piece 398mm Front Brake Rotors (Discontinued Design) Fitment (FRONT): Ferrari 458 Italia Ferrari 488 Ferrari 488 Pista Ferrari F8 Discontinued New old stock rotor.  These have the straight grooves as images show, not the new curved grooves.  Final Sale, no returns or exchanges. Competition Motorsport is an authorized dealer for Girodisc products and we are one of the largest stocking dealers in the country. We ship most products same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline. The Girodisc system is an upgrade to a two-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination and is a direct replacement1 for the OEM brake rotors. These two-piece floating rotors will bolt directly to the car and work with your OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight, high-performance replacements (as opposed to a big brake kit), your factory brake bias is maintained, along with your ABS efficiency. Girodisc two-piece floating rotors are lighter than traditional cast iron brake rotors. This reduction in rotational mass and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration, sharper steering, and faster suspension response. When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Competition Motorsport RF-1 racing brake fluid, you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors. The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron constructed in the USA, made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors' curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc. The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes ten high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by Grade-12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. The two-piece Girodisc design allows for disc-only replacement as well, minimizing future replacement costs and delivering outstanding performance. Sold/priced per pair. 1 Note: These Girodisc rotors have a different annulus (pad swept area) than the OEM CCM rotors, to maintain their light weight. A brake pad with an annulus of 66mm or less must be used with these Girodisc rotors. The necessary pad shape is very common, found on the Nissan GT-R, Cadillac CTS-V, and most AMG Mercedes equipped with six-piston calipers. If there's a specific pad and/or compound you're after please, contact us at (844) 438-7244 and we'll get you what you need!
