D2-239 Girodisc Rear Rotor Ring Replacements
$700.00
REPLACEMENT ROTOR RINGS ONLY. INCLUDES NEW INSTALLATION HARDWARE. DOES NOT INCLUDE ALUMINUM HATS.
Competition Motorsport is an authorized dealer for Girodisc products. As one of the largest stocking dealers in the country, we ship most Girodisc products the same or next business day to ensure we meet your delivery deadline.
These Girodisc replacement rotor rings are direct replacements for the iron discs on your Girodisc two-piece rotors, and no modifications are necessary. New cap screws and washers are included with these replacement rotors. We do not recommend re-using the old hardware.
The replacement rotor rings and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.
The two-piece Girodisc design allows for rotor ring-only replacement to minimize replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling.
Sold/priced per pair.

Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader GDPS01
$250.00
Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader
This indispensable tool is used by race teams, shops, and enthusiasts alike who have high performance four- and six-piston calipers. The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader is designed to easily spread brake pads and pistons to facilitate quick replacement of pads and/or rotors in a shop or racing environment.
No more screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, or C-clamps! This tool will retract the pistons fully and evenly into their bores with one squeeze of the levers.
The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader was designed to be used with popular racing brake calipers from Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, and other performance calipers in racing and road use. To help it fit into any caliper, the amount of throw is adjustable.
Insert the spreading plates one way for wider six-piston calipers, then turn the spreader 90o and use the plate sides for four-piston calipers.
The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader is made from heavy-gauge steel, powder-coated for durability. The slider is cadmium-plated, and nylon pivot bushings ensure smooth action.
The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader will quickly become an invaluable tool for any race team, shop, or enthusiast who changes pads and rotors frequently.

Girodisc Front Caliper Rebuild Kit Porsche 981 Boxster S-Cayman S
$56.00
PORSCHE 981 BOXSTER S/CAYMAN S FRONT CALIPER REBUILD KIT
Track days can be especially hard on the piston seals and dust boots in your brake calipers. Heat, in particular, will do a number on them. (Titanium heat shields behind your pads can help with that.) This kit is put together from the highest-quality components to rebuild a brake caliper back to like-new condition.
One kit is required per caliper (we suggest doing them both as long as you're doing it). Once you rebuild them, get the Ti heat shields as well and lengthen the interval between rebuilds. The shields and seals are available as a kit for convenience (and a bit of savings).
We only source superior quality brake components (brakes for track use are serious business); some kits don't take it as seriously. Any questions give us a call, we're happy to help!

Girodisc Magic Pads 1405
$275.00
Girodisc "Magic Pads" are the solution to your squeaky, dusty, expensive factory pads. They have less dust than typical factory pads and much less than typical performance pads. You won't be cleaning your wheels nearly as often. Additionally, they have great initial bite, something most less expensive pads are lacking. But the real reason people like our pads so much is they are the "silver bullet" to brake noise problems. Magic pads are a semi-metallic composition that is easy on the rotors and the wallet. We recommend always replacing pads as a whole car set when switching compounds. All magic pads come with our anti-noise shields pre-installed, included in the price. When comparison shopping, be sure to notice the quality of our components. Any questions, give us a call, we're happy to help!

Girodisc McLaren 600LT & 720S Brake Pads (Front)
from $640.00
Girodisc McLaren 600LT / 720S Brake Pads (Front)
These all-new Girodisc brake pads are designed specifically for use with the Girodisc A1-206 rotor conversion kit for the McLaren 600LT and 720S. These specially-designed pads are available in two excellent breakthrough compounds: Endurance and Sprint.
The Endurance compound is the longest-lasting pad on the market right now, currently dominating the paddock at Le Mans and most other endurance events. The Sprint compound sacrifices approximately 30% in longevity for an increase of about 30% in bite. Which compound is right for you depends on what you’re trying to get out of your 600LT or 720S. It's worth mentioning that the Sprint compound still lasts longer than most endurance compounds offered by other racing brake manufacturers.

Girodisc
Girodisc Titanium Brake Pad Shields for Corvette C7 / C8 Z07
from $90.00
The problem of brake fluid boiling is simply traced to heat transferring from the rotors and pads directly into the fluid through the caliper pistons. When brake fluid boils, it releases air that is normally part of the molecular structure of the fluid. This air is compressible, of course, and the brake pedal goes to the floor instead of moving the caliper pistons. Production cars tend to suffer from this on track days because they don't have the extensive cooling ducts and exotic brake materials found on racing cars.
Race-only brake calipers generally come with titanium caliper pistons for one reason: titanium has low thermal conductivity. This means it's very bad at transferring heat, which is good if you're trying to keep your brake fluid from boiling. Here's a comparison of materials and their relative thermal conductivity ratings (lower is better):
Titanium 6AL-4V = 6.7 W/mk
Steel = 52 W/mk
Aluminum = 130 W/mk
Most fixed calipers use aluminum pistons which are, unfortunately, excellent at transferring braking heat to your brake fluid. Our solution is to place Girodisc's thin titanium shims between the brake pad and the caliper pistons. This helps prevent braking heat from transferring into the pistons and, thus, into the fluid.
For cars that are going to see hard or multiple track days, these shims are affordable protection from losing your brake pedal at the wrong time and making your track day very expensive.
Water jet cut to exact size; no cutting, grinding, or swearing involved.
Price is per axle (four shims)

The problem of brake fluid boiling is caused by braking heat transferring from the rotors and pads directly into the fluid through the caliper pistons. When brake fluid boils, it releases air that is normally part of the molecular structure of the fluid. This air is compressible, of course, so brake pedal pressure compresses this air instead of pushing brake fluid and moving the caliper pistons. The brake pedal goes to the floor.
