The Girodisc A2-030DS Rear Rotor Kit is a premium lightweight brake upgrade for Mercedes-Benz SL55 and SL63 models. Featuring a dimpled and slotted rotor face, these 2-piece rotors deliver improved cooling, reduced weight, and superior pedal response under hard braking. High-Performance 2-Piece Design

Each Girodisc rotor uses a CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum hat mated to a proprietary cast iron rotor ring for an optimal balance of strength and weight savings. The two-piece floating construction reduces unsprung and rotational mass, allowing for sharper handling and quicker suspension reaction. The dimpled and slotted surface enhances pad bite, removes gas buildup, and keeps friction consistent during aggressive driving or track sessions.

Advanced Cooling and Engineering

The rotor’s 48 curved directional vanes act as a centrifugal pump, channeling cooling air through the disc to significantly reduce operating temperatures and fade. Girodisc’s floating mount system connects the rotor ring and hat with 8 to 10 high-strength steel drive pins, cadmium-plated for corrosion resistance and secured with grade 12 fasteners and hardened washers. Anti-noise spring washers eliminate rattling while allowing for proper expansion under heat.
