Although updated to meet the newest Snell SA2020 certification, the Stilo ST5.1 GT retains its FIA 8858-2015 homologation as well. This makes the helmet legal for nearly all road race usage (although some sanctioning bodies require FIA 8860 homologated helmets.)

The Sparco helmet line is a result of over 40 years of research and development experience, including wind tunnel testing. The new SPARCO AIR PRO RF-5W range was designed to meet the requirements of the new Snell SA2020 and FIA 8859 ratings. The 2020 type-approval introduces new impact requirements, the helmets need to dissipate large amounts of energy in different ways. To meet these requirements Sparco is introducing new innovations for driver safety and comfort. All shells now have layers of carbon-Kevlar for greater strength. The helmets have also been wind-tunnel tested to maximize exterior vent placement and flow. The EPS interiors and padding have also been redesigned for increased airflow and driver comfort. How Does Sparco Hocotex Work?
Racing suits are traditionally constructed using multiple layers of fabric sewn together with an embroidered quilted pattern. This quilting creates air pockets between the layers which expand when exposed to extreme heat and flames, creating a thermal protection barrier for the driver. Sparco Hocotex® uses a honeycomb structure with over 60,000 internal air cells, compared to 300 quilted chambers in a traditional suit. The result is a 10% to 12% increase in protection from heat versus the traditional quilting method.

Introducing the Sparco Futura Race Suit
The Sparco Futura race suit is the first racing fire suit in the world that is constructed with Sparco Full Efficiency technology. The Futura is made with 70% of Full Efficiency regenerated fabric. The mid liner, inner liner as well as the epaulets, arm and knee reinforcements are made with Full Efficiency regenerated fabric. The Futura race suit offers tremendous fire protection, style and comfort. It has pre-curved full floating sleeves and large rear stretch panel for mobility and comfort in the driving position. The Futura race suit is available in four colorways and in sizes 48-66. FIA 8856-2018 approved.
