Much lighter than the OEM rotors, Girodisc rotors reduce rotational and unsprung mass giving you stronger braking and faster suspension response. Combined with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads and Competition Motorsport RF-1 racing brake fluid, Girodisc rotors are the ultimate solution to overheated, cracked, warped rotors that result from high-performance driving. The central hat of the rotor is made from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum. The disc is manufactured in the USA from the same cast iron used by professional racing organizations. Its curved-vane design, developed in racing, acts like a centrifugal pump forcing cool air through the disc. The disc and hat mount together through a floating mount system using ten cadmium plated, high-strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc. These drive pins transfer braking load while maintaining axial and radial float between the disc and hat to allow for heat expansion. Anti-noise spring washers eliminate the noise typically associated with floating rotors.
