Stilo Helmets ST5 FN ZERO 8860-2018 ABP Carbon Helmet

FIA 8860 certification valid through 2032 for these ST5 FN ZERO ABP carbon fiber helmets.

The Stilo Naked Helmet With Zero Compromises

The Stilo ST5 FN ZERO 8860-2018 ABP Carbon Fiber Helmet is built for professional racers who demand elite protection, extremely low weight, and a clean Formula Naked shell design. Designed for top-level open-wheel racing, the helmet meets FIA 8860-2018 ABP requirements with additional protection around the forehead and front chin bar areas.

The ZERO version sits at the top of Stilo’s lightweight ST5 lineup, using high-tensile carbon fiber construction to reduce driver fatigue while maintaining the protection required for professional competition.

Ultra-Light Carbon Construction for Serious Racers

The Stilo ST5 FN ZERO 8860-2018 ABP is designed for racing environments where every ounce matters. The FN, or Formula Naked, layout features a streamlined aerodynamic shell developed specifically for open-cockpit racing.

The helmet is also ready for non-integrated electronics, air supply, hydration systems, or a combination of the three, while removable cheek pads and top pads allow drivers to fine-tune the interior fit.

Advanced Ballistic Protection

The ABP, or Advanced Ballistic Protection, design adds increased protection to the forehead and front section of the helmet. This additional reinforcement requires a smaller visor opening compared with the standard ST5 helmet line.

Removable earmuff cushions help isolate the driver's ears from surrounding noise, while pre-installed HANS posts make the helmet ready for professional competition.

Stilo Helmets ST5 FN ZERO 8860-2018 ABP FAQs

What makes the Stilo ST5 FN ZERO 8860-2018 ABP different from the standard ST5 FN 8860 helmet?
The ZERO ABP version combines Stilo’s lightweight carbon construction with additional protection around the forehead and front chin bar areas. This enhanced Advanced Ballistic Protection is designed specifically for top-level open-wheel racing applications.

What does FN mean on the Stilo ST5 FN ZERO?
FN stands for Formula Naked. This version does not include the built-in side accessory ports found on GT models, giving the helmet a cleaner, aerodynamic shell layout optimized for open-cockpit and formula-style applications.

Does the Stilo ST5 FN ZERO 8860-2018 ABP have a larger eyeport?
No. Because the ABP version includes additional protection around the forehead and front section of the helmet, it uses a smaller visor opening compared with the standard ST5 helmet line.

Can communications, top air, or a hydration system be added?
Yes. The helmet is ready for non-integrated electronics, air supply, hydration systems, or a combination of the three. Additional top-air kits and other accessories are also available separately.

Does the Stilo ST5 FN ZERO include HANS anchors?
Yes. The helmet includes standard HANS post anchors for use with compatible head and neck restraint systems.

Are shields interchangeable across the Stilo ST5 range?
The ABP version uses a smaller visor than the standard ST5 line because of its additional frontal protection. Be sure to use visor options specifically compatible with the ST5 FN ZERO ABP helmet.
