These Girodisc replacement rotor rings are direct replacements for the iron discs on your Girodisc two-piece rotors, and no modifications are necessary. New cap screws and washers are included with these replacement rotors. We do not recommend re-using the old hardware.
The replacement rotor rings and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. This Girodisc system is an upgrade to a two-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination as a direct replacement for the OEM brake discs. The Girodisc floating rotors will bolt directly to your Mustang and work flawlessly with OEM calipers. By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight high-performance replacements, as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS effectiveness and efficiency. The Girodisc rotors are lighter than OEM pieces, resuutling in a reduction in rotational and unsprung weight (4 lbs per corner) allowing for quicker acceleration, stronger braking, and faster suspension response.
When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Competition Motorsport RF-1 brake fluid, you have the best possible solution to overheating, cracking, and warping rotors.
The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron constructed in the USA, made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. Pagid Pre-Bedding Service
Some Pagid racing brake pads are available pre-bedded and “ready to race”. Good preparation and adjustment of the car is the basic requirement for any successful race. Bedding the brake components requires good concentration, experience and a lot of training time. But time is often crucial and you need to save it for other purposes.
Incorrectly bedded brakes reduce the controllability and the lifetime of the pads and discs. The maximum braking performance can only be achieved by correctly bedded brake parts.
To save time and money, we offer pre-bedding brake pads via a computer controlled system. Using the right sensory input, we can precisely bed in your pads free from environmental influences like traffic, rain, and even driver training.
Pagid RSL 1 Compound
Used in GT cars, touring cars and prototype endurance racing. Due to the high friction and good modulation, often used in sprint races as well. RSL 1 is a low metallic resin bonded material containing steel and aramid fibers with very high heat resistance. It maintains a constant friction level over a wide range of temperatures. Its reduced wear rate and disc friendliness make this material appropriate for endurance races.
Pagid RSL 1E Compound:
RSL 1E is perfect as front axle application for long endurance GT and touring car racing. RSL 1E and RSL 1 are low metallic resin bonded materials containing steel and aramid fibers with very high heat resistance. They maintain a constant friction level over a wide range of temperatures. Their reduced wear rate and disc friendliness make these materials appropriate for endurance races.
RSL 1E is further improved in terms of pad life and modulation as well as friction stability at high temperatures and pad life. As a benefit, RSL 1E provides the lowest pad wear rate in the PAGID Racing portfolio for highly thermally loaded applications.
Pagid RSL 2 Compound:

Its reduced wear rate and disc friendliness make this material appropriate for endurance races on applications with high cooling efficiency. RSL 2 features excellent pad life and modulation, as well as friction stability at high temperatures.
Applications include GT cars, touring cars and prototype endurance racing. Due to excellent modulation characteristics, RSL 2 is often also used in sprint races.

RST 2E is perfect as a front axle application in mid-endurance GT and touring car racing, in the range of 2-6h race duration. Front and rear axle application on rally race cars. RST 2 and RST 2E are semi-metallic resin bonded materials containing steel fibers. Cold friction and initial bite make these materials most appropriate for rallying and NASCAR applications.

Out of all the pad compounds we've ever tested, from all manufacturers, the DS3.12 shows the flattest torque curve across the broadest temperature range. That means on every turn, on every track you drive, on every lap, your brake pedal is going to feel almost exactly the same. This gives you tremendous consistency and repeatability.
