Girodisc D1-162 Ford Shelby GT350 Front Replacement Ring FAQs

Do these work with OEM GT350 hats? No. The Girodisc D1-162 rings are designed to bolt only to Girodisc aluminum hats. OEM one-piece or carbon-ceramic systems are not compatible.

What pad compounds pair best with these rotors? For mixed street/track driving, Ferodo DS2500 or Hawk HPS 5.0 are excellent choices. For full track use, Girodisc recommends Pagid RSL 1 or Carbotech XP12 compounds.

What torque should I use for the hardware bolts? Torque each bolt to 12 ft-lbs (16 Nm) with blue Loctite, and recheck after the first full heat cycle.

Are these rotors directional? Yes. Each rotor is marked for left and right use. Installing them correctly ensures proper airflow through the curved cooling vanes for maximum heat dissipation.

Upgrade your GT350’s braking confidence with Girodisc D1-162 394mm front replacement rings — engineered for precision, strength, and endurance on street or circuit.
