Honda S2000 Front Rotors Enhance the stopping power and control of your Honda S2000 with Girodisc 2-piece floating front rotors. Designed as a direct-fit upgrade for the factory discs, these rotors bolt on with no modifications required while maintaining factory brake bias and ABS function. The result is sharper response, reduced fade, and a significant drop in unsprung weight—ideal for both spirited street driving and competitive track sessions. Each rotor combines a precision-machined 6061-T6 aluminum hat with Girodisc’s proprietary high-carbon cast iron rings. The internal curved vane design acts as a self-cooling air pump, pulling air through the rotor under braking to reduce heat buildup and extend component life. Precision Cooling Meets Honda S2000 Performance Vehicle Fitment Honda S2000 (AP1 & AP2, 2000–2009) Girodisc A1-104 Features Direct replacement fit: Bolts directly to OEM calipers using factory hardware. Reduced unsprung weight: Lightweight aluminum hats improve handling and suspension response. Curved vane ventilation: Actively circulates cooling air to stabilize rotor temperatures under heavy braking. Floating 2-piece system: Allows heat expansion without distortion, maintaining even pad wear. Noise-free design: Spring washers eliminate rattle while preserving float capability. Made in the USA: Every component is machined and assembled in-house by Girodisc. Girodisc A1-104 FAQs Are these rotors a direct fit for the OEM calipers? The Girodisc system is an upgrade to a two-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination and is a direct replacement1 for the OEM brake rotors. These two-piece floating rotors will bolt directly to the car and work with your OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight, high-performance replacements (as opposed to a big brake kit), your factory brake bias is maintained, along with your ABS efficiency. Girodisc two-piece floating rotors are lighter than traditional cast iron brake rotors. This reduction in rotational mass and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration, sharper steering, and faster suspension response. When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Competition Motorsport RF-1 racing brake fluid, you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors. The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured from cast iron constructed in the USA, made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotors' curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc. The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes ten high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to their own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by Grade-12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. The two-piece Girodisc design allows for disc-only replacement as well, minimizing future replacement costs and delivering outstanding performance. Sold/priced per pair. 1 Note: These Girodisc rotors have a different annulus (pad swept area) than the OEM CCM rotors, to maintain their light weight. A brake pad with an annulus of 66mm or less must be used with these Girodisc rotors. The necessary pad shape is very common, found on the Nissan GT-R, Cadillac CTS-V, and most AMG Mercedes equipped with six-piston calipers.
