The purpose of a NACA duct is to increase the flow rate of air while not disturbing boundary layer airflow over your vehicle's exterior. When the cross-sectional flow area of the duct is increased, you decrease the static pressure and make the duct into a vacuum cleaner (without the drag effects of a standard scoop). The reason why the duct is narrow, then suddenly widens in a graceful arc is to increase the cross-sectional area slowly so that airflow doesn’t separate and cause turbulence and drag. The primary end of the hose is 6 ft. long branching off into dual 4 ft. hose ends that enable multiple cooling garments to be connected to one driver cooling unit with ¼” fittings. Paragon Guardian Water Y-Hose Set Paragon’s innovative Guardian Water Supply/Return Y-Hose Set is designed to simultaneously run cooling water to two separate cooling garments. At 8 feet in overall length, the Guardian Y-Hose is the ideal length to suit most applications, although each of the three "legs" can easily be shortened to customize fit. The Paragon Guardian Y-Hose is insulated to keep your cooling garments supplied with icy cold water from a Paragon Viking. Arctic Wolf, or Arctic Fox cooler. The supply side of the Paragon Guardian Water Supply Hose delivers cooling water to the tubing inlets of your garments, while the return side of the hose set returns water warmed by body heat back to the cooler to be re-chilled and recirculated. Foam insulation acts as a thermal barrier to properly maintain the temperature of the water being supplied to your cooling garments. Paragon Guardian male connectors at the cooler end of the hose set are designed for emergency release, allowing you to easily disconnect with a quick pull on the hose set or garment. Stilo Helmet Non-Adjustable Top Air Systems (Round or Aluminum Oval Intake) - Fits ST5 & ST6 Keep Your Stilo ST5 & ST6 Helmet Ventilated With The Stilo Top Air Kit Fresh air keeps you cool and keeps sweat from getting in your eyes as you take the checkered flag. Endurance racers keep their focus high and lap times low by staying in the cool zone. This unique cooling system feeds air from your car’s fresh air system to both the top of your head and to the front of your face, while at the same time helping keep the inside of your visor clear. This system integrates into the existing design of the ST5 & ST6 helmet and does not require any drilling of the shell or modifications to the internal EPS foam. There are four small ventilation holes molded into the top of every ST5 helmet. Stilo's Top Air system fits over the forward two holes and extends down the front of the helmet and just under the top of the visor. Air fed into the Top Air is directed both to the top of the head and down over the face. A small deflector just inside the visor area directs air towards the visor and away from the eyes. Old air flows out of the rear holes on the top of the helmet and from the bottom of the helmet, significantly reducing CO2 buildup in the helmet. This Stilo Top Air System can be fitted to all Stilo ST5 & ST6 model helmets.
