The Sparco Extrema S racing suit takes the same patented Hocotex® material used in Sparco's successful Eagle line and incorporates it into a classically-styled fire suit. Three times as breathable as a traditional multi-layered racing suit, 360º fully-floating arm gussets on the Sparco Extrema S are combined with a stretchable mesh back panel for maximum flexibility and comfort. Extra-flat seams provide additional comfort, while traditional design touches such as classic Sparco epaulettes and seamless ankle/wrist cuffs make this suit a perfect platform for sponsor logos!
How Does Sparco Hocotex® Work?
Racing suits are traditionally constructed using multiple layers of fabric sewn together with an embroidered quilted pattern. This quilting creates air pockets between the layers which expand when exposed to extreme heat and flames, creating a thermal protection barrier for the driver. Sparco Hocotex® uses a honeycomb structure with over 60,000 internal air cells, compared to 300 quilted chambers in a traditional suit. The result is a 10% to 12% increase in protection from heat versus the traditional quilting method.

It's hard to improve on a classic, but Sparco has done just that with the updated Victory 2.0 racing suit, based on the original Sparco Victory racing suit that brought HOCOTEX® technology into the under-$1,000 price point. Largely keeping the Victory's classic design, the new Sparco Victory 2.0 adds updated color options and takes things up a notch with an improved cut, style, and fit.
An new stretch panel on the lower-back further aids mobility, while pre-formed sleeves maintain excellent steering performance. Sparco's unique HOCOTEX® technology uses an intricate honeycomb structure containing thousands of protective micro-capsules woven into a super-thin, breathable fabric. This honeycomb lattice resists heat transfer like the multi-layer fabric construction found in every other race suit, resulting in the Sparco Victory 2.0 being both SFI 3.2A/5 and FIA 8856-2018 certified. The KMX-5 has been designed to cater to professional drivers looking for an excellent driving experience in an athletic fit overall. Constructed from advanced three-layer construction for optimized levels of performance and extensive mesh panels for high levels of breathability, this suit combines a unique and brand-new nylon stretch outer fabric, along with a plain polyester toweling, for superb levels of flexibility.
The Alpinestars KMX-5 Karting Suit combines comfort and performance that meets the latest CIK/FIA Level 2 standards. The lightweight construction features a 100% polymide outer shell for protection, combined with a 3D, poly-fabric inner lining that is highly breathable and comfortable. Mesh panels are positioned under the arms and seat to further increase cooling. Ergonomics and mobility are handled by fully-floating shoulders for freedom of movement, and a stretch insert in the lumbar region for a comfortable fit in a seated position.
