Product Description:

Girodisc Corvette C7 Z06, Grand Sport Rear Rotors

Engineered for the intense braking demands of high-performance Corvettes, the Girodisc rear rotors for the C7 Z06 and Grand Sport offer a lighter, stronger, and more temperature-stable solution than factory rotors. Each rotor is designed to bolt directly to OEM hubs and calipers, delivering consistent performance and improved cooling for aggressive street or track use.

Vehicle Fitment

Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 (2015–2019)
Chevrolet Corvette C7 Grand Sport (2017–2019)
Compatible with OEM Brembo rear calipers and hardware.

Performance-Built Two-Piece Design

The Girodisc system replaces the factory one-piece rotor with a lightweight two-piece assembly featuring a CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum hat and a proprietary cast-iron friction ring. The design sheds roughly 8 lbs per corner (24.7 lbs stock vs. 16.6 lbs Girodisc), reducing unsprung and rotational mass for sharper handling and faster acceleration. Internal curved vanes act as centrifugal pumps to draw cooling air through the disc, maintaining stable temperatures even under heavy braking.

Features

• Direct replacement for OEM rear rotors—no modifications required
• 6061-T6 billet aluminum hats with anodized finish
• Proprietary high-carbon cast-iron friction rings, cast and machined in the USA
• Floating mount system with 10 cadmium-plated steel drive pins
• Anti-noise spring washers eliminate rattle and maintain float
• Curved internal vanes for efficient airflow and cooling
• 8.1 lbs lighter per rotor than OEM for reduced unsprung weight
• Fully rebuildable—replace only the rotor rings when worn
• Sold/priced per pair

Girodisc A2-147 Rear Rotor FAQs:

How much lighter are Girodisc rotors than OEM? Each rear rotor saves approximately 8 lbs compared to the factory setup, improving suspension compliance and overall handling response.

Do these work with factory brake pads and calipers? Yes. The rotors bolt directly to the OEM hubs and work perfectly with stock or performance pad compounds designed for iron rotors.

What improvements will I notice on track? Expect faster brake recovery, consistent pedal feel, and reduced fade during extended high-speed braking thanks to the floating two-piece design and improved cooling.

Are these suitable for daily driving? Absolutely. Girodisc rotors maintain smooth, quiet operation while offering race-level performance when pushed hard.

Unlock the full braking potential of your C7 Z06 or Grand Sport with Girodisc rear rotors—precision-crafted for lighter weight, better cooling, and true motorsport performance.
