Product Description:

A2-324 Girodisc Chevrolet Corvette C5/C6 Z51 Rear Rotors

These Girodisc 2-piece floating rear rotors are a direct replacement for the C6 Z51 330mm rear rotor (J55 “heavy-duty” package). Weighing just 12.4 lb per rotor, they shed unsprung weight and rotating mass for sharper suspension response and consistent stopping power.

Race-Bred Construction

  • High-carbon iron rings: Proprietary Girodisc metallurgy for stability under repeated heat cycles.
  • 48 curved directional vanes: Internal pump action pulls cooling air through the rotor for superior heat rejection.
  • 6061-T6 aluminum hats: Black anodized for corrosion resistance and reduced mass.
  • Floating hardware: Cadmium-plated high-strength steel drive pins with Belleville washers & spring clips for quiet, street-friendly float.
  • Rebuildable design: Replace rings with Girodisc D2-324 when worn—reuse the hats and hardware.

Vehicle Fitment

  • Chevrolet Corvette C6 with Z51 (J55) rear brakes
  • Chevrolet Corvette C5 & C6 base (with Z51 rear caliper bracket GM #88964167 or equivalent)

Technical Specifications

  • SKU: A2-324
  • Position: Rear
  • Diameter: 330 mm
  • Thickness: 26 mm (minimum 24 mm)
  • Weight: 12.4 lb per rotor assembly
  • Vane Design: 48 curved directional

  • Sold/Price: Per pair
  • Fitment Note: These C6 Z51 rotors can be used on C5 and C6 base cars with the Z51 rear caliper bracket (GM #88964167) or equivalent. The bracket works with the existing calipers and these rotors to complete the conversion to the Z51 brake package.

Why Upgrade to Girodisc?

Compared to one-piece OE rotors, Girodisc 2-piece assemblies reduce unsprung mass, improve cooling, and resist cracking/warping under track heat. The floating mount maintains pad alignment and helps the rotor self-center between the pads for consistent pedal feel.

Replace rings at or before the 24 mm minimum or if any crack reaches the edge of the ring.
