Girodisc D1-031 Porsche 340mm Front Ring FAQs

Do these fit OEM Porsche rotor hats? No. The D1-031 rings are designed exclusively for Girodisc aluminum hats and are not compatible with OEM or aftermarket one-piece rotors.

What pad compounds pair best with these rotors? For street use, Ferodo DS2500 or Hawk HPS 5.0 pads offer smooth, quiet braking. For track applications, Pagid RS29 or Carbotech XP12 pads deliver optimal temperature control and bite.

Are these rotors directional? Yes. Each rotor is clearly labeled for left or right installation to ensure proper airflow through the internal curved vanes for maximum cooling efficiency.

How should the hardware be torqued? Torque each bolt to 12 ft-lbs (16 Nm) with blue Loctite. After one complete heat cycle, recheck all fasteners to confirm proper float and alignment.

Upgrade your Porsche’s braking performance with Girodisc D1-031 340mm front replacement rings — precision-built for thermal efficiency, control, and repeatable performance on road or track.
