PFC 01 Compound
PFC 01 race compound is one of the most widely accepted in the PFC arsenal. It has become the standard by which all other racing brake pads are judged. PFC 01 has good initial bite, with very little torque rise with temperature. At the end of the stop, PFC 01 compound has less torque scatter than the competition for improved modulation with excellent release.
PFC 01 compound has good disc conditioning properties with low wear. It is one of PFC’s most popular race compounds, and wins more World and National championships annually than any other brake pad on the market. In many applications, if PFC 01 is not available, PFC 11 compound can replace it.
PFC 11 Compound
A new generation sprint and medium-distance friction compound, PFC 11 gives you the ultimate in control and modulation, along with superior disc conditioning. Developed from PFC's ultra-popular 01 compound with improved bite, modulation, and release characteristics. PFC 11 is ultra-smooth, developed to reduce wheel locking at the end of braking while giving more hot and cold bite than the endurance-oriented 08 compound. Brake with ultimate control, modulation, and confidence.
PFC 13 Compound
PFC 13 is a new generation of ultimate high bite, high friction racing brake compound. PFC 13 compound has been developed with increased bite and modulation, with superior disc conditioning and release characteristics for exceptional control. Ultra-smooth and great for tracks with high grip or on high-downforce cars, it is the ultimate combination of high bite and infinite control.
Ideal use where high bite in the first third of the stop is desired. PFC 13’s wear is on a par with PFC’s legendary 01 compound and will operate at higher temperatures if needed. PFC 13 has a very high threshold for fade resistance. Out of all the high bite, high torque pads on the market, PFC 13 has proven to have the lowest taper wear in a properly designed race caliper.

RSL 1:
RSL 1 is a low metallic resin bonded material containing steel and aramid fibers with high heat resistance. It maintains a constant friction level over a wide range of temperatures. Its low wear rate and disc friendliness make this material appropriate for endurance races. Applications include GT cars, Touring cars and prototype endurance racing. Due to the high friction and good modulation, often used in sprint races as well.
RSL 2:
RSL 2 is based on the RSL 1 compound but has been further improved in terms of pad and disc life as well as friction stability vs. temperature. It is a low metallic resin bonded material containing steel and aramid fibers. Furthermore, it maintains a constant friction level over a wide range of temperatures. Applications include GT cars, Touring cars and prototype endurance racing. Due to excellent modulation characteristics often also used in sprint races.
RSL 29:
The PAGID RS29 (Yellow) is the world-leading endurance brake pad used by most of the winning teams in motorsport. The racing compound combines the outstanding wear rate of the RS19 with a slightly higher coefficient of friction and initial bite. Based on the RS14, A slight reduction of the friction value improves the modulation (controllability). Nevertheless, the friction value is enough for cars without power-assisted brake system and ensures comfortable low effort on the brake pedal. Constant temperatures up to 600°C (1,100°F) are possible. This combination of friction value, fading stability and low wear rates on pads and discs (rotors) is unmatched. Due to its excellent release characteristics and controllability PAGID endurance materials are also often used for sprint races.
Pagid RS29 with a very similar friction coefficient to RS19 with improvements in initial bite offering quicker response and slightly more temperature stable at the upper levels of the temperature range. Developments in raw material selection and compounding have resulted in improvements also in pedal feel and feedback, helping with modulation particularly on lighter applications.
This material provides very good levels of performance and response at all temperature levels, only slight temperature inputs are required to bring the pad up to its optimum performance level. Another favourite with endurance racers having won many classes at all major endurance events, such as Le-Mans, Daytona, Spa, Nurburgring, etc. Due to the exceptional pad life and very low wear on brake discs it has been possible to run 24 hours without a change of pads or discs. Able to withstand slightly higher disc temperatures than RS19, this has proved more suitable for applications running very high disc temperatures.
Although designed primarily for endurance racing, because of the consistent levels of performance and user friendliness many competitors use this material successfully for sprint and short distance races also. RS29 has also found favour in the growing track day market due to the level of control, good cold performance, long life and low disc wear.
RST 1:
RST 1 has a very high friction level and high temperature resistance. It is a semi metallic resin bonded material containing steel fibers. Cold friction and initial bite makes this material most appropriate for Rally and NASCAR applications. Applications include Rally tarmac, GT cars and Touring cars circuit racing (sprint), high down-force formula cars, NASCAR. Suitable for applications in heavy cars and where high torque is necessary against small diameter rotors.

RST 2 is a semi metallic resin bonded material containing steel fibers. Cold friction and initial bite makes this material most appropriate for Rally and NASCAR applications. Applications include Rally tarmac, GT cars and Touring cars circuit racing and NASCAR. Also used as rear pad in combination with RST 1 front. Recommended for GT and Touring Car racing on tracks where higher temperatures are an issue.
RST 3:
RST 3 is a medium-high friction metal-ceramic compound containing steel fibers and is therefore the perfect complement of the RST product family. It captivates by its low heat conductivity. Applications include Rally tarmac and gravel, GT cars, Touring cars and prototype circuit racing, formula cars and club racing. RST 3 suits a wide range of applications due to it‘s combination of bite, friction and controllability.
RST 4:
RST 4 is a semi metallic resin bonded material containing steel fibers. This material has a medium friction level and high temperature resistance. Applications include formula cars and open wheel racing. Rear axle material for Rally (tarmac and gravel) and for all front engine cars. Also used in NASCAR on long ovals.

Cobalt Friction Technologies, Inc. is a leading developer & manufacturer of friction compounds for high-performance and professional motorsport disc brake applications. With our industry-leading range of race-proven XR-Series Carbon-Ceramic materials, Cobalt has a solution to meet your most demanding performance requirements, while always exceeding your expectations with superior technical and race engineering support.
PASSION The heart and soul of Cobalt Friction Technologies is fueled by our never-ending passion for motorsports. Our teams and drivers continually place greater demands on their equipment, and Cobalt Friction is there to satisfy these demands every step along the way.
PERFORMANCE Cobalt Friction's customer-driven research & development is what sets us apart from the competition. Our engineers do not design compounds based on lab results alone or to solely meet overly simplified, uni-dimensional "performance criteria". Rather, we continually "step outside the box" by working with and collecting feedback from our drivers and teams at all levels of professional and amateur motorsports, right there at the race track...week in and week out. When being the best and finishing first is the only option, Cobalt Friction accepts zero compromises, and so do our customers and teams.
TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE Cobalt-equipped drivers and teams are backed by race engineering support that is second to none. From the garages at the Rolex 24 at Daytona to the paddock at the SCCA Nationals, Cobalt Friction Technologies delivers the products, knowledge and power to win.

Cobalt Brake Pads for McLaren 600LT & 720S with GiroDisc Conversion (Front)
$669.00
Cobalt McLaren 600LT & 720S Brake Pads (Front)
These Cobalt brake pads are designed specifically for use with the GiroDisc A1-206 rotor conversion kit for the McLaren 600LT or 720S. These specially-designed pads are available in two excellent breakthrough compounds: XR1 (Sprint) and XR2 (Endurance).
XR1 Compound
This Sprint compound sacrifices approximately 30% in longevity for an increase of about 30% in bite.
XR2 Compound
The XR2 Endurance compound is the longest-lasting pad on the market right now, currently dominating the paddock at Le Mans and most other endurance events.
Which compound is right for you depends on what you’re trying to get out of your 600LT or 720S. It's worth mentioning that the Sprint compound still lasts longer than most endurance compounds offered by other racing brake manufacturers.
