Girodisc A1-019 FAQs
Do I need to modify the calipers or hubs? No. These rotors are a direct replacement for the factory discs and bolt up with OEM hardware.
Will they make noise during street driving? No. Girodisc uses anti-noise spring washers to allow float while keeping the system quiet for street use.
Are the rings replaceable? Yes. Replacement rings can be purchased separately, allowing you to reuse the aluminum hats and hardware.
Can these handle track use? Absolutely. These rotors are engineered to endure repeated high-heat cycles without cracking or warping, making them ideal for both spirited street and track driving.
Upgrade your GT3’s stopping power with Girodisc’s lightweight, precision-engineered front rotors—built for performance, endurance, and control.

Porsche 991.1 S, 4S, GTS Front Rotors
The Girodisc 2-piece floating rotor system is a direct replacement for the factory rotors on the Porsche 991.1 Carrera S, 4S, and GTS. This upgrade includes precision caliper spacers that allow the installation of larger 350 mm rotors in place of the factory 340 mm discs, resulting in increased braking torque, improved cooling, and reduced fade under demanding conditions. The Girodisc rotors weigh approximately 21.0 lbs each, compared to the 24.4 lbs OEM units—reducing rotational mass for sharper acceleration and suspension response.
Each rotor features a CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum hat bolted to Girodisc’s proprietary high-carbon cast-iron rings. The internal curved vane design functions as a centrifugal air pump, pulling cool air through the disc to efficiently dissipate heat during high-performance driving. Engineered and manufactured entirely in the USA, Girodisc rotors deliver exceptional braking consistency and reliability on both street and track.

OMP Tecnica Evo Racing Driver Suit
OMP's latest Tecnica Evo Racing Suit adds updated features to this popular, classically-styled suit. Drawing from OMP's extensive Formula 1 background, the Tecnica Evo is a lightweight, breathable, feature-filled fire suit that doesn't bust the budget. Ultra-flat, anti-rubbing seams are not only comfortable, but help prevent unwanted suit-snagging in tight cockpits. Pre-curved sleeves are attached with a fully-floating epaulette system for freedom of movement, and the "Fishbone" quilting is engineered for optimal ergonomics.
A unique feature of the Tecnica Evo is OMP's AFS (Advanced Fastening System) retractable belt. This semi-elastic belt is partially hidden within the suit, increasing comfort and flattening the suit's profile. The Tecnica Evo's lightweight Nomex material (only 295 gr/sqm) features OMP's Dry System 3D, a highly breathable fabric with excellent fire protection properties. This innovative material makes up flexible inserts strategically placed on the Tecnica Evo for improved comfort on the hottest days.

The Girodisc system is a direct replacement for the OE disc. No modifications are necessary. The disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OE calipers perfectly.
The central hat section of our rotor is made from strictly U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from our own proprietary cast iron, poured in the USA and machined from start to finish in house at Girodisc. The rotor utilizes a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
The rotor and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes ten high strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured by Girodisc in the USA to our own specifications and cadmium plated for a long lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the load from braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc.
The pins are secured by Class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side which allow the rotor to grow with heat expansion but eliminate the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the pads.
Once the Girodisc system is in place, simply replace the cast iron rotor when needed.
