The Raybestos ST43 are among our favorite intermediate track-day/racing brake pads. A moderately aggressive pad that's very easy on rotors, they have slightly lower overall friction and initial bite than the most aggressive race compounds. The trade-off, however, is lower running temps and increased rotor and pad life. These pads are absolutely ideal for track-day enthusiasts. We have customers running them in Ferrari Challenge cars, Corvettes, Vipers, Mitsubishi Evos, and Subaru STis. The Raybestos ST43 work extremely well with ABS as they are more forgiving with their initial bite.
Intermediate Race Pads That Perform A Lot Like Full Race Pads
Raybestos considers the ST43 brake pad an intermediate race pad. However, when you consider these pads were developed for NASCAR (i.e., heavy, high-horsepower cars with lots of tire and downforce), "intermediate" means "full-boogie" in a 350 to 400hp amateur-driven sports car. Pagid RST 5E Compound:
Specifically designed and developed for high friction level sprint applications where an extreme thermal stability is demanded. Comes in a variety of different pad shapes common on GT racing front axles, touring car front axles, and rally racing especially FIA Rally3, Rally2, Rally1, and RX Rallycross categories.

Despite its considerable performance, PFC 08 has the lowest wear rate of all PFC compounds and can easily match the wear characteristics of the other competitors' materials but with much higher bite and consistent performance across a broad temperature range.
PFC 11 Compound
A new-generation sprint and medium distance friction material, giving you the ultimate in control with superior disc conditioning. Pagid RSL 19 Compound:
Pagid RSL 19 is a low metallic resin bonded material containing steel and aramid fibers. It maintains a constant friction level across a broad range of temperatures. The material features very good modulation and release characteristics. Rear axle usage in combination with RSL 1 or RSL 2 on the front axle in heavier cars (GT3/GTE). Front axle usage for lighter GT and touring cars.
Pagid RSL 1 Compound:
Used in GT cars, touring cars and prototype endurance racing. Due to the high friction and good modulation, often used in sprint races as well. RSL 1 is a low metallic resin bonded material containing steel and aramid fibers with very high heat resistance. It maintains a constant friction level over a wide range of temperatures. Its reduced wear rate and disc friendliness make this material appropriate for endurance races.
