CMS Performance RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid (500 ml) - Competition Motorsport
Competition Motorsport CMS Performance RF1 DOT4 622ºF Racing Brake Fluid from $21.95
CMS Performance RF1 DOT4 Racing Brake Fluid Real-Life High Boiling Point Without The Real High Price RF1 Racing Brake Fluid from CMS Performance is a fully-synthetic DOT4 brake fluid formulated to provide extraordinary performance under the most demanding high-temperature racing and track-day conditions. With a dry boiling point of 328º C (622º F), RF1 exceeds all DOT3 & DOT4 requirements and is compatible with all DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 fluids. (Not compatible with DOT5 or mineral-based brake fluids.) On the race track, brake systems operate at very high sustained temperatures, and there is perhaps no single safety system more important in racing than your brakes. No single part of that system is more critical than brake fluid. At CMS Performance, we got tired of (and a little nervous) using "racing" brake fluid at the race track that didn't live up to its claimed performance when things got hot. So we did something about it. Manufactured in partnership with Orthene, the brake fluid supplier to many teams in Formula 1, WEC, and other professional series, RF1 Racing Brake Fluid was formulated to maintain consistent viscosity, lubricity, and compressibility at the extreme system temperatures and line pressures found in racing and track days. The bottom line is this: you can spend more on brake fluid, but you can't buy higher-performance than RF1 Racing Brake Fluid. RF1 Racing Brake Fluid Details: Typical dry boiling point: 328º C (622º F) Typical wet boiling point: 204º C (399º F) Exceeds DOT3 & DOT4 standards Bottle size: 500 ml (16.9 fl oz) Click Here for Product MSDS Sheet A Word About Flushing Brake Fluid All brake fluid degrades over time (not mileage), attracting water as it ages, which, at high brake temperatures, can lead to fluid boil and brake fade or failure. That's why the "wet" (aged) boiling point of any brake fluid is substantially lower than the "dry" (new) boiling point. To maintain maximum braking performance, Competition Motorsport strongly suggests replacing your brake fluid before every track event, but at least every three months if you're consistently racing and/or driving at track days. It's cheap insurance against learning about brake fade the hard way!
Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader GDPS01 - Competition Motorsport
Girodisc Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader GDPS01 $250.00
Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader This indispensable tool is used by race teams, shops, and enthusiasts alike who have high performance four- and six-piston calipers. The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader is designed to easily spread brake pads and pistons to facilitate quick replacement of pads and/or rotors in a shop or racing environment. The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader was designed to be used with popular racing brake calipers from Brembo, AP Racing, Alcon, and other performance calipers in racing and road use. To help it fit into any caliper, the amount of throw is adjustable. Insert the spreading plates one way for wider six-piston calipers, then turn the spreader 90o and use the plate sides for four-piston calipers. The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader is made from heavy-gauge steel, powder-coated for durability. The slider is cadmium-plated, and nylon pivot bushings ensure smooth action. The Girodisc Brake Pad Spreader will quickly become an invaluable tool for any race team, shop, or enthusiast who changes pads and rotors frequently.
Pagid Racing Brake Pads No. 4909 - Competition Motorsport
Pagid Pagid Racing Brake Pads No. 4909 from $515.64
RSL 29: The PAGID RS29 (Yellow) is the world-leading endurance brake pad used by most of the winning teams in motorsport.  The racing compound combines the outstanding wear rate of the RS19 with a slightly higher coefficient of friction and initial bite. Based on the RS14, A slight reduction of the friction value improves the modulation (controllability). Nevertheless, the friction value is enough for cars without power-assisted brake system and ensures comfortable low effort on the brake pedal. Constant temperatures up to 600°C (1,100°F) are possible. This combination of friction value, fading stability and low wear rates on pads and discs (rotors) is unmatched. Due to its excellent release characteristics and controllability PAGID endurance materials are also often used for sprint races. Pagid RS29 with a very similar friction coefficient to RS19 with improvements in initial bite offering quicker response and slightly more temperature stable at the upper levels of the temperature range. Developments in raw material selection and compounding have resulted in improvements also in pedal feel and feedback, helping with modulation particularly on lighter applications. This material provides very good levels of performance and response at all temperature levels, only slight temperature inputs are required to bring the pad up to its optimum performance level. Another favourite with endurance racers having won many classes at all major endurance events, such as Le-Mans, Daytona, Spa, Nurburgring, etc. Due to the exceptional pad life and very low wear on brake discs it has been possible to run 24 hours without a change of pads or discs. Able to withstand slightly higher disc temperatures than RS19, this has proved more suitable for applications running very high disc temperatures. Although designed primarily for endurance racing, because of the consistent levels of performance and user friendliness many competitors use this material successfully for sprint and short distance races also. RS29 has also found favour in the growing track day market due to the level of control, good cold performance, long life and low disc wear. RSC 1: The Pagid RSC1 is a good street/track compromise for enthusiasts with Carbon-Ceramic Brakes. Used for sprint racing and track days compound with all known types of ceramic brake discs. An ideal combination of cold friction, fade resistance and low thermal oxidation of the disc surface.
A2-032 Girodisc 2pc REAR Brake Rotors (350mm) - Competition Motorsport
Girodisc A2-032 Girodisc 2pc REAR Brake Rotors (350mm) $1,300.00
The Girodisc system is an upgrade to a 350mm two-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination, a direct replacement for the OEM brake disc. The two-piece floating disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight high-performance replacements -- as opposed to a big brake kit -- your factory brake bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency. Girodisc rotors are lighter than the OEM rotors, reducing rotational and unsprung weight for quicker acceleration and suspension response. When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads and Competition Motorsport RF1 racing brake fluid (also available from Competition Motorsport), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors. The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is manufactured in the USA from cast iron, made to the same specification and with the same material used by professional racing organizations. The rotor's curved-vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc. The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance. The alloy drive pins transfer the load from braking while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat. The pins are secured by Grade 12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise typically associated with floating rotors. The two-piece Girodisc design allows for rotor-ring only replacement to minimize future replacement costs. Priced per pair
