The Arai GPV-R FIA 8859-2024 Racing Helmet brings Arai's protection-first design philosophy to a modern auto racing helmet built for serious drivers. The redesigned shell lowers the visor attachment point to create a smoother, rounder upper shell area, helping impacts glance away from the helmet rather than driving force directly into the structure.
The GP-VAS visor system uses a lower pivot point while still allowing the visor to open fully without contacting the shell. Arai also lowered the upper visor line and adjusted the lower eye port edge to improve downward visibility, making it easier to see instruments, switches, and controls in the cockpit.
