Formulated for Modern Sports Car Engines
Driven DT40 is engineered for water-cooled European sports car engines. Using advanced synthetic base oils, DT40 provides high-temperature and high-shear protection for high-RPM engines. It’s ideal for modern German, Italian, and British sports cars with or without variable valve timing—including turbocharged applications. DT40 reduces oil consumption by limiting vaporization and foaming, and is compatible with E85 and water/methanol injection systems. Viscosity typical of 5W-40.
Features of DRIVEN DT40 5W-40 Engine Oil
High temperature and high shear protection
ZDDP anti-wear additives
Meets the demands of variable valve timing systems
Reduced oil consumption
No Additives Needed
Every Driven Racing Oil lubricant is carefully formulated to provide the necessary protection for its specific application. Do not add aftermarket oil treatments—these can cause “additive clash,” degrading lubricant performance.
Driven lubricants are designed to complement one another, creating a synergistic protection system where the whole package is greater than the sum of its parts. Mixing brands of assembly lube, break-in oil, and race oil may reduce this benefit.
