Girodisc Mercedes E63 / GT53 Rear Rotors (Dimpled & Slotted)
The Girodisc A2-248DS Rear Rotors are a direct replacement for the OEM discs on the Mercedes E63 and GT53. These precision-machined, dimpled and slotted rotors deliver superior braking performance, enhanced cooling, and a substantial reduction in weight. Designed to bolt directly to the car with no modifications required, they maintain the factory brake bias and ABS efficiency while improving response and durability.
Performance Upgrade & Weight Reduction
Each Girodisc assembly is engineered to be approximately 8.1 lbs lighter per rotor than the factory units (16.6 lbs vs. 24.7 lbs). This significant reduction in unsprung and rotational mass allows for improved acceleration, sharper turn-in, and better suspension feedback.
Engineering Excellence
The central hat section of the rotor is crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, precision-machined and anodized for strength and corrosion resistance. The outer disc is made from Girodisc’s proprietary high-carbon cast iron alloy, poured and machined in the USA to exacting tolerances. The dimpled and slotted surface design improves pad bite, reduces glazing, and enhances gas evacuation during high-temperature operation.
Floating Mount System
Girodisc rotors utilize a fully floating mount system that connects the iron ring to the aluminum hat using 10 cadmium-plated steel drive pins. The assembly is secured by class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers, allowing axial and radial movement as the rotor expands under heat. Anti-noise spring washers eliminate rattle and vibration, maintaining quiet operation while preserving true race-grade performance.

Pagid Pre-Bedding Service
Some Pagid racing brake pads are available pre-bedded and “ready to race”. Good preparation and adjustment of the car is the basic requirement for any successful race. Bedding the brake components requires good concentration, experience and a lot of training time. But time is often crucial and you need to save it for other purposes.
Incorrectly bedded brakes reduce the controllability and the lifetime of the pads and discs. The maximum braking performance can only be achieved by correctly bedded brake parts.
To save time and money, we offer pre-bedding brake pads via a computer controlled system. Using the right sensory input, we can precisely bed in your pads free from environmental influences like traffic, rain, and even driver training.

Girodisc Brake Pads 1389 (Front)
$490.00
GiroDisc 1389 Front Racing Brake Pads
A race pad for all occasions.
Our GP35 compound combines the best of both worlds into one all-around race pad. We took some of the longevity of our endurance pads, some of the bite of our sprint pads, and worked to develop a compound that can do it all. As a bonus, it’s easy to bed, which means less time figuring your brakes out, and more time driving on the track.
The GP35 is designed to work with street car ABS as well as motorsport-grade ABS found in factory-built race cars. The torque curve is designed to be smooth and linear, which leads to superior modulation and release under trail braking. These pads work with a wide range of tires, from DOT street tires to R-compounds to full race slicks.
It has become our most popular compound and is the compound we recommend most frequently to track day drivers and shops running cars in professional racing series.
Note: this compound is only compatible with iron rotors.

A1-151 Girodisc Porsche 996 GT3 Cup Front Rotors
$1,150.00
Porsche 996 GT3 Cup Front Rotors
The Girodisc Front Rotors for the Porsche 996 GT3 Cup are designed as a high-performance, lightweight replacement for the factory brake discs. Precision-engineered to deliver superior cooling, consistency, and durability, these rotors maintain factory balance and ABS performance while dramatically reducing unsprung and rotational weight for improved acceleration and handling.
Direct Replacement Rotors for the 996 GT3 Cup
The Girodisc system is a true bolt-on replacement for the OEM front rotors—no modifications are required. By upgrading to Girodisc’s two-piece floating rotor design, you preserve the car’s factory brake bias and ABS calibration while gaining a significant performance advantage. Each Girodisc front rotor weighs approximately 21.0 lbs compared to 25.6 lbs for the stock units, reducing weight where it matters most and improving suspension response and steering feedback.
Vehicle Fitment
These Girodisc Front Rotors are engineered specifically for:
Porsche 996 GT3 Cup (All model years)
Direct OEM replacement for factory rotors on Porsche 996 GT3 Cup cars. Compatible with original calipers, pads, and mounting hardware.
Features
The central hat section is made from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum, providing strength and reduced unsprung weight. The rotor rings are cast from Girodisc’s proprietary iron alloy, poured and machined entirely in-house in the USA. Each disc incorporates a curved vane internal design developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump, pulling cooling air through the rotor to dissipate heat and reduce fade under extreme use.
The floating mount system uses 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins, cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance and secured with class 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers. Anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side allow for thermal expansion while preventing rattles and noise, ensuring a smooth, quiet operation. The floating design also enables the rotor to self-center between pads, maintaining optimal brake feel and consistent pad contact throughout the temperature range.
Once installed, only the iron rotor rings need replacement as they wear, allowing the aluminum hats to be reused—significantly lowering long-term operating costs while delivering world-class performance on the track.
FAQs: Porsche 996 GT3 Cup Front Rotors
Do these rotors fit the factory GT3 Cup calipers? Yes, the Girodisc system bolts directly to the car and is fully compatible with the factory GT3 Cup calipers and pad shape.
How much lighter are these than OEM rotors? Each Girodisc front rotor saves approximately 4.6 lbs compared to the stock unit, improving both suspension response and acceleration.
Are these rotors suitable for endurance racing? Absolutely. Girodisc rotors are designed to withstand sustained high temperatures and heavy use in professional motorsport environments.
Do I need to change brake pads when installing Girodisc rotors? You can continue using the factory pad shape, or upgrade to any high-performance compound compatible with the GT3 Cup calipers.
Can I replace just the iron rings later? Yes, Girodisc rotors are designed for serviceability—once installed, only the iron rings need replacing when worn.
Enhance your Porsche 996 GT3 Cup’s braking power with the Girodisc Front Rotors—precision-engineered, track-proven, and made entirely in the USA for professional-level performance and reliability.
