SmartyCam 3 Sport has been designed to minimize the problem of image distortion (the dreaded wave effect) with its global shutter CMOS sensor. The camera shutter captures the entire image all at once, resulting in images that are not affected by the vibration of high-speed driving on track.
The SmartyCam 3 Sport Sport has a choice of low-distortion lenses with a fields-of-view of either 67º (perfect for closed-cockpit cars) or 84° (wider for open-cockpit and open-wheel cars).
