The Hypertech v2 is Alpinestars' top-of-the-line, super-lightweight and breathable two-layer race suit. The Hypertech v2 race suit has an athletic fit, designed and developed for drivers wanting a professional level of racing suit performance. The Hypertech v2 race suit outer shell is constructed from an aramidic Nomex® anti-static material providing optimal heat- and flame-resistance despite the very light weight, while the new inner lining is an innovative aramidic knit that also meets the new FIA standard. Unprecedented Comfort
Thanks to HOCOTEX®, the Eagle LTD is three times more breathable than a suit produced using traditional technology. The use of this relatively thinner fabric along with large side and back stretch panels and 360 degree arm gussets give the Eagle LTD ultimate flexibility and comfort. The Eagle LTD uses at new stretch material called Eagle fabric, which is lighter, more breathable, and more abrasion resistant than traditional stretch material.
Improved Fire & Heat Resistance
Traditional racing suits have layers of fabric sewn together in a quilted pattern. The quilting provides air space between the layers which bloats in a fire, this provides thermal protection to the driver. HOCOTEX® creates a honeycomb structure with internal air cells that ensure the driver even more fire protection. Traditional box quilting creates an average of 300 air chambers in a size 52 suit. The Eagle LTD has over 60,000 microcell air chambers which provide a 10 to 12% increase in heat protection performance.

The Sparco Prime LT uses suit material originally developed for the McLaren Formula One team, making it one of the lightest FIA approved racing suits in the world. The Sparco Prime LT boasts unparalleled technological features created in the Sparco R&D laboratories, a project optimizing every detail of materials and construction. This includes an ultra slim zipper, soft seamless Nomex/Vicosa wrists and ankle cuffs, the neck and shoulder pads were further reduced, thinner thread was used and the stitching flattened even more.
The Sparco Prime LT features a three-layer construction using proprietary Sparco technology. The third, outer layer is a double-faced mesh made from original DuPont Nomex Comfort woven using the Kompact system. The material contains a high percentage of antistatic fibers, giving it extremely effective antistatic properties as well as excellent breathability. The Sparco Prime LT racing suit weighs from 240 to 270 grams per square meter (depending on size).

Breathability And Flexibility

How Does HOCOTEX® Work, Exactly?
