Girodisc D1-117 Corvette C6 Z06, Grand Sport Front Replacement Ring FAQs

Do these fit OEM Corvette rotor hats? No. The D1-117 rings are designed only for Girodisc aluminum hats and cannot mount to OEM one-piece or carbon-ceramic assemblies.

Which brake pads are best for these rotors? For street performance, use Ferodo DS2500 or Hawk HPS 5.0. For track driving, Pagid RS29 or Hawk DTC-70 deliver excellent high-temperature stability and modulation.

Do I need to bed the rotors before track use? Yes. Perform 8–10 medium-pressure stops from 60 mph to evenly transfer pad material to the rotor, then allow the brakes to cool before full use.

Are these rotors directional? Yes. Each ring is marked for left and right installation. Proper orientation ensures correct airflow through the internal vanes for maximum cooling.

Upgrade your Corvette’s stopping power with Girodisc D1-117 355mm front replacement rings — engineered for precision, endurance, and race-proven heat control on street or track.
