Girodisc D1-050 Audi R8 / Lamborghini Front Replacement Ring FAQs

Can these be used with OEM Audi or Lamborghini rotor hats? No. These rings are designed only for Girodisc aluminum hats and will not mount to OEM one-piece or carbon-ceramic rotor systems.

Which pad compounds work best with these rotors? For street and light-track use, Ferodo DS2500 or Hawk HPS 5.0 perform exceptionally. For track use, Pagid RS29 or Carbotech XP12 are recommended for balanced heat control and bite.

Do these rotors improve braking over OEM? Yes. The two-piece floating design reduces unsprung weight and increases heat dissipation, giving you more consistent pedal feel and fade resistance.

What torque spec should be used on the hardware? Torque each bolt to 12 ft-lbs (16 Nm) with blue Loctite, then recheck after the first full heat cycle to confirm secure float and proper alignment.

Bring supercar-level braking consistency back to your Audi R8 or Lamborghini Huracán with Girodisc D1-050 394 mm front replacement rings — engineered for precision, durability, and repeatable performance at any speed.
