Girodisc D1-157 BMW E9X M3 Front Ring FAQs

Do these fit the OEM M3 rotor hats? No. These are designed only for Girodisc aluminum hats and will not fit OEM one-piece rotors or carbon-ceramic conversions.

What pad compounds are recommended for this setup? For street use, Ferodo DS2500 or Hawk HPS 5.0 pads work well. For track days, Pagid RS29 or Endless MX72 provide stable friction and fade resistance.

What torque should be used for the floating hardware? Torque each bolt to 12 ft-lbs (16 Nm) with blue Loctite. After the first track session, recheck hardware torque for consistency.

Do these rotors improve braking feel? Yes. The two-piece floating design reduces unsprung weight and improves pedal modulation by managing heat transfer more efficiently than factory rotors.

Upgrade your BMW E9X M3’s braking system with Girodisc D1-157 380mm front replacement rings — engineered for endurance, balance, and precision braking on both street and circuit.
