The Safe, Street Legal 4 Point Harness The Profi II ASM FE is essentially the same as the Profi II ASM, except it features a Push-Button cam lock. The red push button that says "Press" is necessary to retain street legality and so an EMT who shows up at an accident scene will know how to release your restraint. The FE version also features sewn in, bendable bolt-in tabs for the lap belt attachments, for use in applications where space is limited. It's designed to be used as a four point system, perfect for use in Driver Education cars or any other application where stock seats are retained. (A seat that was not originally designed for a sub strap should never be modified to accept one.) The Profi II ASM incorporates Schroth's legendary ASM (Anti Sub Marining) technology that is the only thing like it on the market. ASM is an extra fold of material sewn into the right shoulder belt that elongates at a different rate than the outboard belt. This allows your upper torso to twist slightly. On the rebound phase, your torso is planted firmly back in the seat rather than allowed to slide under the lap belt. You can add a single or dual sub strap to make this belt into a 5 point or 6 point at any time. Schroth tested this harness with a HANS device and the results were great. You can use a 4 point ASM Harness with any HANS device. The lap belts provided with this harness are only available with bolt-in hardware (it's sewn in) as they are most commonly needed in setups requiring street legality. AMT Ultra-Low Seat Mount For Corvette C5 Through C8 Sub Strap Mount Included The Best Way to Put Proper Seats in Your Corvette Throughout the years, the iconic Corvette has been equipped from the factory with many great features. Unfortunately, the seats aren't one of them. Those Corvette drivers who have added a proper racing seat to their Corvette often say it's the most important mod they've made to increase their track-day enjoyment and safety. However, a proper racing seat should be mounted from the side on fixed mounts, not using the OEM seat hardware. As a result, headroom becomes a concern with any racing seat in a Corvette, but AMT Motorsports has effectively eliminated that concern with the Ultra-Low Seat Mount. The Benefit of Innovative Design Countless development hours were spent making the Ultra-Low Seat Mount the best available for the Corvette. (The only way to get your seat lower in your car is to cut a hole in it!) The bottom of the seat can literally touch the floor in your Corvette. By machining a perfect hex in the mounts to accept the mounting bolts for the side brackets, AMT maximizes seat clearance. This machined hex also removes an extra wrench (and a whole lot of headache) from the install process. These seat mounts are machined from 6061-T6 extruded aluminum. Rather than allow the side brackets to only sit on bolts, AMT machines the brackets so there's a perfect mechanical interface with the bottom and side of each floor mount, increasing stiffness and strength. Included with every mount are studs and hardware to allow the mount to be bolted using the factory Corvette seat studs. Sub Strap Bar Included Finally, there's a movable cross bar to accept five- and six-point sub straps. This sub-strap bar is bolted to the floor mounts with flat head screws, and there are two more holes in the cross bar in case your sanctioning body requires you to bolt the bar through the floor. Two eye-bolts are included with the cross bar. We don't recommend using a different sub-strap bar with the AMT mount since you'll need to modify either the mount or the sub-strap bar to get it to fit. Each C3 Carbon product is manufactured to provide perfect fit and extreme strength while reducing weight, maximizing quality and ensuring years of exceptional finish. We provide all of this for significantly less money than OEM parts. Every product we make uses pre-impregnated dry carbon formed in a CNC-machined billet aluminum mold which is manufactured by laser-scanning the OEM component(s) so you know you’ll have a perfect fit, every time. Dry carbon is stronger and lighter than wet carbon, often weighing 1/3 of our competitors’ products. Our manufacturing methods also produce a smoother surface on each part for more dimensional accuracy; shaving edges, widening mounting holes and flexing pieces to make them fit are a thing of the past. C3 Carbon also applies an automotive urethane clear-coat which is U/V cured for durability and guarantees C3 Carbon parts won't yellow over time. Many of our competitors use wet carbon (which is heavier), and some use fiberglass with a carbon overlay (much heavier, as the carbon fiber has epoxy literally painted onto it). These materials and manufacturing methods produce a poor finish due to air contamination, and because the epoxy isn’t applied uniformly throughout the weave. These products are also much weaker than C3 Carbon products. Finally, most competitors use a fiberglass mold, which is far less expensive but cannot maintain the strict tolerances we demand of our own products. In the end, the fit and finish simply cannot stand up to C3 Carbon products.
