Installation Recommendations
Attach Protectowire to the roof or ceiling area by secure methods that do not penetrate or damage the wire. Avoid outdoor installations unless shielding is used to protect against radiated sunlight or reflected heat. Use temperature strips to determine the correct heat rating before installation. Do not mount the cable near heaters, exhausts, or other direct heat sources that may cause false triggers. All bends should be made by hand with smooth, rounded turns—never with pliers. The Protectowire should never be painted.
