$29.95
Designed For The Top Levels Of Motorsports
AP Radi-CAL R3 was developed for use in very-high-temperature racing conditions. Conforms to and exceeds FMVSS 116 DOT 4 and SAE J1703 and J1704. AP Racing Radi-CAL R3 Racing Brake Fluid is currently one of the most popular brake fluids at the highest levels of professional auto and motorcycle racing. It was specifically developed for coping with extraordinary temperatures, such as those encountered when running a carbon/carbon brake system.
To ensure that the fluid stays fresh, AP brake fluids are furnished in 500 ml (16.9 oz) easy-pour plastic bottles with double-sealed caps. Highest Dry Boiling Point On The Market Today
AP Racing Radi-CAL R4 racing brake fluid has the highest typical dry boiling point, at 340º C (644º F), of any racing brake fluid currently available on the market today. Apex Pro Gen II Lap Time Optimizer
$589.00
APEX Pro Gen II Lap Time Optimizer
APEX Pro is a tool for competitive drivers. From track days and road racing to autocross and hill-climb, APEX Pro is a tool that helps improve lap times while on track and simplifies post-session data review with the most intuitive software interface available.
APEX Pro pairs using Bluetooth with your Apple (iOS smartphone) to automatically save data to the APEX app. It provides accurate lap-times at over 200 official tracks around the world, as well as allowing custom track creation. While on track, precisely filtered data is logged at 10 Hz and sent to the smartphone. APEX has a suite of tools allowing drivers to review and replay data overlaid on track maps or plotted in many other ways. To compare laps with other drivers, simply email or AirDrop recorded sessions to fellow drivers or driving instructors. You can instantly overlay and compare sessions from the same track. While you're out on the track, friends and crew members can watch your driving and lap-times (and telemetry with Gen II) from anywhere in the world using the CrewView social platform (iOS).
THE ULTIMATE DRIVING COACH
Red lights on the APEX Pro indicate unused potential. In motorsport terms, the tires are not at their limit. This limit is calculated by taking in thousands of sensor measurements per second from the internal GPS and accelerometers (nine-axis IMU). These raw sensor measurements are then filtered through the APEX algorithm derived from years of testing at all levels of motorsport. This process on takes a lap or two of driving at pace, and from these measurements APEX determines the car’s road-holding ability (based on your driving, not a theoretical limit).
That's how APEX helps you find your limit. Peak measurements are compared with the other measurements to determine if those peaks seen in one area of the track are achievable elsewhere. Put another way, you may be faster in one section of the track than another, and that is how APEX learns where the available grip is. Red lights represent the limit determined by the APEX algorithm, green lights show you how close you are to that limit. For more information, check out the APEX Pro startup guide linked below!

Arai CK-6 Kart Racing Helmet Size Chart
An effective racing helmet is one that fits properly. Have an assistant use a measuring tape or a piece of string to measure the circumference of your head, starting at a point approximately one inch above the eyebrows in front, around a point in the back of the head that results in the largest possible measurement, and finally wrapping back to the front. It's a good idea to take several measurements and use the largest one.

Kart Racing Helmet – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Remember that safety is paramount in kart racing, and choosing the right helmet and maintaining it properly is essential for your protection on the track. Consult the professionals at Competition Motorsport any time you have specific questions about your racing helmet.
What is the best helmet for kart racing? The Arai SK-6 kart helmet is used by more than 80% of kart racers and widely considered the best karting helmet, offering premium features for serious kart racers.
Why do I need a racing helmet? Auto and kart racing helmets are essential for protecting your head in high-speed accidents. They also shield against debris and, in some motorsports, fire—making them a non-negotiable safety requirement.
How do I choose the right size Kart Racing helmet? Use a flexible tape to measure the circumference of your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Compare the measurement to Bell’s sizing chart. For more help, read our blog on how to fit your helmet properly at Competition Motorsport.
What safety standards should I look for in a kart racing helmet? Look for the Snell K2020 certification for karting. It ensures your helmet meets rigorous standards for impact protection. Unlike DOT (for street use), K2020 is designed specifically for motorsports.
Can I use a motorcycle helmet for kart racing? No. Motorcycle helmets lack the kart-specific certifications and features like proper ventilation and impact resistance optimized for karting. Always use a helmet rated for motorsport competition.
How often should I replace my kart racing helmet? Replace your helmet every few years depending on usage and the manufacturer's guidance. If it’s been dropped, involved in an impact, or shows signs of wear, replace it immediately.
Are expensive racing helmets safer than budget ones? Yes, typically. While both must meet minimum safety standards, premium helmets offer lighter materials, better fit, improved aerodynamics, and enhanced comfort, all of which impact race performance and fatigue.
How do I maintain and clean my kart racing helmet? Clean the exterior and interior using a helmet-specific care product like the Molecule Helmet Care Kit. Avoid submerging the helmet or using abrasive cleaners. Visors should be cleaned gently to avoid scratching.
Do I need to wear a balaclava under my kart racing helmet? While not required for all karting events, a balaclava enhances comfort, keeps your helmet liner clean, and helps wick sweat. Fire-rated balaclavas are mandatory in sanctioned auto racing and recommended for high-performance karting.
Is the Snell K rating important? Yes. The Snell K2020 certification is the most widely accepted kart helmet standard, required by many racing series to ensure safety and performance.
Can I wear glasses with my kart racing helmet? Yes. Wide eye ports, make it compatible with most prescription glasses and racing eyewear. A good fit ensures the glasses remain stable and fog-free.
Are carbon fiber helmets better? Carbon fiber helmets are lighter and stronger, reducing fatigue during long races while offering excellent impact protection. They are a top choice for competitive drivers.
Can I use a used helmet for racing? It’s not recommended. Damage or degradation may not be visible, and older helmets might not meet current safety standards. Always buy new from an authorized dealer like Competition Motorsport.
How can I prevent helmet fogging during races? Use a visor with built-in anti-fog technology like Bell’s DSAF system, or apply an anti-fog spray or insert. Keeping your helmet well-ventilated also helps.
What's the importance of proper helmet ventilation? Good ventilation helps manage heat and moisture inside the helmet, reducing fatigue and keeping you focused throughout your race.
How do I store my kart racing helmet between races? Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a padded helmet bag like our Competition Motorsport Evo Helmet Bag to prevent damage during transport or storage.
What is the difference between Snell K2020 and CMR2016 certifications?
Snell K2020 is designed for adult karting helmets, focusing on impact protection. CMR2016 is tailored for drivers under 15, offering a lighter helmet to reduce neck strain while maintaining safety standards.
Are tear-off visors necessary for kart racing?
Tear-off visors are beneficial in maintaining clear vision during races by allowing drivers to remove a dirty visor layer quickly. They are especially useful in outdoor karting where debris and dirt are common.
How do I know if my helmet is still safe to use?
Helmets should be inspected regularly for signs of wear or damage. If a helmet has been involved in a significant impact or shows signs of degradation, it should be replaced immediately. Additionally, helmets should be replaced every 5 years, even if no damage is visible.
Can I customize my kart racing helmet?
Yes, many manufacturers offer customization options for fit and aesthetics. However, any modifications should not compromise the helmet's structural integrity or safety certifications.
Where can I buy a certified racing helmet? Buy from trusted experts like Competition Motorsport, online or in-person at any of our retail locations located around the USA. We carry all major brands, including Arai, Bel, Stilo, and Schuberth, and support hundreds of racing events across the country.

Getting The Best Fit for Your Arai GP-7SRC Carbon
The Arai GP-7SRC 8860-2018 is available in sizes XS to Large. The most effective helmet is one that fits properly. To measure your head, have an assistant use a dressmaker's tape or a piece of string to measure the circumference of your head. Start at a point about an inch above your eyebrows, looping around the back of your head at the point that results in the largest measurement, and finally around to the front again. It's a good idea to take two or three measurements to make sure you have the largest one.

Arai GP-7SRC ABP Carbon Racing Helmet
The Best Arai Auto Racing Helmet
The new Arai GP-7SRC ABP is a stunning example of Arai’s vision and technological mastery, engineered into a functional, real-world piece of safety equipment. It begins with a startling advancement: a proprietary Carbon Fiber (CF) weave that combines CF’s existing benefits of high strength and extreme light weight.
But there's a major added benefit that standard CF does not possess: flexibility. (Standard CF tends to splinter or shatter instead of flex on impact.) The result is a helmet ready for the unparalleled demands and requirements of high end closed-cockpit racing. The remaining list of Arai GP-7SRC features and advances is impressive because, for this helmet and its prospective user, it simply has to be. The Arai GP-7SRC ABP meets or exceeds the FIA 8860-2018 ABP homologation standard.
Advanced Ballistic Protection The Formula One Standard
FIA's new ABP (Advanced Ballistic Protection) specification is intended especially for drivers in open cars.
The Arai GP-7SRC ABP has been strengthened in the forehead area, incorporating an external intrusion panel (previously mounted to the shield) that is now integrated into the helmet shell itself. The ABP homologation was written to reduce the risk of injury from debris or other objects striking a driver’s head.
Arai GP-7SRC ABP 8860-2018 Carbon Fiber Ventilation
Three large, close-able, intake vents combined with larger 10mm holes and two additional exhaust vents in the center of the helmet greatly increase air flow. A redesigned exhaust cowling improves aerodynamics, drawing out hot air escaping the helmet. The GP-7SRC comes with all vents unattached so you can customize the vent configuration to your specific needs.
Arai Positive Shield Latch
Arai's positive latch mechanism provides solid shield closure while allowing normal operation of the shield. Designed as an integral component of the shield system, not just an add-on afterthought, its functional simplicity belies the complexity of the design.
Installed HANS Post Anchors Included
Integrated seats accommodate a variety of Head and Neck Restraint devices. Pre-installed M6 threaded washer/nut with 6mm threads accepts a variety of anchor systems, making installation easy. The flat surface around the mounting nut allows the anchor post to rest flush on the helmet surface.
