High Performance Brake Rotors Replace The Stock C63 AMG Discs

This Girodisc floating iron rotor system is a direct replacement for your Mercedes C63 AMG rear rotors. No modifications to your car are necessary. The Girodisc rotors will bolt directly to your C63 and work with the OEM calipers perfectly. By upgrading your C63 AMG brakes with lightweight high performance iron replacements, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency.

The central hat section of the Girodisc rotor is made from strictly U.S. sourced 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from Girodisc's proprietary American-made cast iron and machined from start to finish in house at Girodisc. The disc utilizes a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump forcing cooling air through the disc.

The disc and hat are joined by a floating mount system using 12 high-strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by Girodisc in the USA and cadmium plated for long-lasting corrosion resistance. The drive pins bear the braking load while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. The pins are secured by class 12.9 cap screws with hardened washers. In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side, allowing the rotor to grow with heat expansion while eliminating the rattle typically associated with floating rotors. A floating rotor will also self-center between the pads.

Once your Girodisc system is in place, you can simply replace the cast iron discs as needed.
