IPD Plenum for Porsche 997.2 911 Carrera 3.6L Porsche’s DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) intake was a completely redesigned intake system developed to deliver improved performance, fuel consumption and lower emissions by optimizing the air fuel mixture directly inside the combustion chamber. The DFI Porsche engine package is a finely-tuned performance machine and additional power has proved difficult to find. The unique design of Porsche’s new DFI intake system posed challenging tuning hurdles but once again IPD developed a design that out-performs the factory intake system without compromising reliability and drive-ability. This innovative and revolutionary IPD DFI Intake Plenum employs the patented “Y” design as well as an enlarged plenum area that allows for improved intake air speed and velocity resulting in increased performance. The all new specifically designed IPD 3.6L DFI Intake Plenum is a direct bolt-on upgrade that replaces the factory air intake distributor and utilizes all pre-existing factory hardware and throttle body. The improved IPD intake design allows for smoother, less turbulent and more efficient air flow resulting in impressive power and torque gains for Porsche driving enthusiasts. The superior design of the DFI IPD Plenum provides an additional 14 HP at the wheels. Unlike previous naturally-aspirated IPD plenums that delivered stronger gains in the mid range, the new IPD DFI Plenums deliver a similar shaped power curve as the factory which is considerably stronger from the mid-RPMs to redline without any loses in power down low. Installation of the IPD 3.6L DFI Plenum is relatively straight forward and can be installed by mechanically inclined DIY customers, although IPD strongly recommends installation be performed by a trained and qualified Porsche technician.

IPD Plenum for Porsche Panamera Turbo/Turbo S The IPD Panamera Turbo/Turbo S intake plenum has a revised diversion area and larger openings that optimize intake air velocity and volume. This more efficient design provides the same great power increase as it does on the Cayenne Turbo, with an additional 30 horsepower and 32 lbs-ft of torque at the wheels. The IPD Panamera Turbo/Turbo S plenum opens up performance throughout the entire power curve, giving you performance that can be felt in the seat of your pants. The factory plastic intake plenum is prone to cracking, especially given the Panamera Turbo's higher boost levels. The IPD Plenum is precision-cast aluminum that will not crack and can handle the highest boost levels.The IPD Plenum utilizes all factory hardware including the OEM 76mm throttle body. The only thing more impressive than the substantial power gains provided by the IPD Panamera Turbo/Turbo S plenum is how easily it installs.

IPD Intake Plenum for Porsche 997.1 Turbo Designed for the 74mm throttle body to maximize performance and durability! FITS: Porsche Carrera Turbo (2007-2009) In 2007, the incredible 997 Porsche Turbo was the most revolutionary and capable Porsche Turbo to ever come out of Germany. This already-explosive power can be further increased with the 997.1 Turbo IPD Intake Plenum. The patented IPD Plenum design unlocks power and torque increases over factory power curves from launch to redline. Maximum power increases take place in the midrange where they're most needed and most critical. The 997 Turbo ECU requires an adaptation period through either a series of hard pulls on the dyno or 10 to 50 miles of hard driving (on a closed-circuit or race track). Turbo customers looking to increase engine power and torque without pushing the motorsport envelope to redline would best benefit from the 74mm IPD Turbo Plenum. This version of the plenum uses the factory 74mm throttle body and delivers impressive performance gains for both stock and slightly modified Turbos with exhaust and software. To push beyond these performance mods, we recommend upgrading to the larger IPD Intake Plenum for 82mm Throttle Body . Add IPD's extraordinary high-flowing 997.1 Turbo Y-Pipe for even more dramatic increases in horsepower and torque. This IPD Plenum and Y-Pipe are designed to work perfectly together. IPD Y-Pipe for Porsche 991.2 Turbo/Turbo S FITS: 991.2 Turbo/Turbo S (2017+) Ballistic acceleration and a top speed of over 200 mph places the 991.2 Turbo in a very elite class of supercars. But of course the IPD Y-Pipe (and Plenum) raise the performance bar even higher for Porsche driving enthusiasts who seek fighter jet performance from their German Turbo missiles. Bigger is not always better when it comes to forced induction applications. While the IPD Y-Pipe is considerably larger than the factory, it's not large enough to cause pressure drop within the intake tract which would result in turbo lag and reduced performance. Utilizing “non-round” runners, an optimized merge collector area, and IPD's proven dimpled interior surfacing, this optimized design delivers a greater volume of air, improved laminar flow and increased air velocity. These improvements deliver an additional 40 horsepower, 50 lbs-ft. of torque, improved boost response, and more linear power and torque curves. The 991.2 Turbo Y-Pipe is a direct bolt-on engine upgrade that requires no modifications, but should be performed by an experienced Porsche technician familiar with the 991 platform.
